PCM fine - Solicitor letter - please help

Permit is free, it is mailed to our address every year. I will check the other details when I got home.0
-
i made photos of the permit, but can't upload it (forum does not allow me to use links)
The permit itself does not mention anything about a fine, it only tells me that if I dont display the permit i will be subject to enforcement action.
It also states to see signage throughout enforcement area.
I am happy send the two photos of the permit to anyone who can help. Thanks.0 -
You can put the link here by breaking it. E.G. put it up but change http: to xxxx: or something similar and then someone can make your link live for you.0

Yes, I've got a driveway - where I can park without a permit, and we also got two permits, which can be used to park off street. Usually we park on the driveway (two cars can fit) but on that night I parked off street as we had some visitors and they parked on the driveway. I just forgot to display that bloody permit
I went through IAIS to appeal,
Today I received a letter from a solicitor called gladstones
umm , same owners , did you actually think they would accept your appeal , when by changing hats they can threaten you with letter headed note paper0 -
please find images under the broken link below

I am not sure what should I do next0 -
''Do not park without a valid permit at any time'' says the letter with the permit, so it makes no offer of parking to drivers not displaying one. Read this to understand how this is winnable, because no offer = no contract agreed (and the letter only mentions £10 as a monetary sum for replacement permits, nothing about any penalty of £100 for other issues):

Like that case, you need to know now that you will most likely get a small claim next (even when you reply to Gladstones, they won't stop, but do NOT pay them!). Apparently, they are the firm exposed on Watchdog as saying 'we make it up most of the time' as regards dealing with the farce of appeals. Bunch of ex-clampers - why the heck do Housing Associations let them loose? GET ANGRY.
You had NO CHANCE at IAS. Guess why?
Because the IAS, the Trade Body the IPC and Gladstones solicitors, whose interest is in pursuing cases to court, are run by the SAME TWO PEOPLE. Yes the Trade Body and the appeals 'service' and these solicitors are all run by William Hurley and John Davies, as blogged umpteen times over by the Parking Prankster, here's another one about PCM's little games and rubbishy signs:

You shouldn't have bothered with IAS stage but you'd still be where you are now. Read Spaceman8's whole thread to see what to do when:

He came here in September at the same stage as you, and last week he won at his hearing. They got photos of their sign, and they’ve got sets of photos of my car, but there is no photo in their evidences where my car and the sign is on the same photo.
So basically my car could have been anywhere in the world, there is no connection with their sign.
Good. That will be useful in your defence.
DO NOT PAY. Don't panic, this is a roller-coaster ride but we've never lost v Gladstones on this forum and we don't expect to start now. Defending a claim like Spaceman8 did requires work & research on your part and yep, you have to turn up at a court hearing but it is not a criminal matter (of course) has no effect on your credit rating even if you lost then paid (no CCJ), and will bring the farce to and end with you claiming your costs and not living your life under this threat of a permit scheme rip-off.
What you can't do is ignore it so read all the other Gladstones LBCCC threads as well, we get at least one a day! Open your eyes and start reading and searching the forum. Once you've read spaceman8's thread, then start with your first forum search: 'Gladstones LBCCC'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

thanks for the info. Do you know where this court will be? turning on for a hearing means a day off and expenses (train tickets etc) to go there. Even if I win I will lose this money, plus a day from my annual leave right?0
-
Your local court. If you win you immediately ask the Judge and claim your costs including travel, parking (!) and loss of leave.
We rarely see one lost here, NEVER v PCM on this forum so far (never seen one lost v Gladstones).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

alright, sounds good.
So now I need to respond to gladstones?
Or I've got a week to write my defense?0 -
Respond to Gladstones, do not say who parked the car, reply as 'keeper' of the vehicle, using a robust format you will find in other Gladstones LBCCC threads - search for those words.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
