Belated HB Val! I have something interesting enroute, details when it arrives. It will either be a treat or a turkey, judging from existing reviews.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

I'm not sure how to go about finding a private dermatologist. Would potentially be interested in doing this but don't know anyone that could recommend anyone. Again maybe my gp could help with this.
Your gp can advise on a good one, sometimes a doctor will know who knows their stuff but can more importantly communicate with people. I would do this rather than looking for one alone.0 -
I have a fair amount of UU to report! Aaand some good news at last!! I start my new job on monday 20th!! Nervous but looking forward to getting out there again and getting my pride back. Rather enjoyed writing my resignation letter and making it clear to my old employers that i felt i had no choice and that it was a fundamental breach of my contract and broken the relationship of trust by their actions. (For those who dont know i lost my job of 5 years in september last year due to disability discrimination). I cant afford to take them to tribunal but heyho, starting over again, and hopefully ill get my pride and confidence back. I just hope i pass the 6 months probation period! Gonna go and do my best!
Anyway UU to report:
Lush T for toes foot powder sample-WBA as full size when i have finished the twinkle toes powder i already have. This smelled nice and fresh and did the job well.
Lush reindeer rock (2015) soap sample- WMBA but this is discontinued now anyway. I do have the full size in stash. Smells of comforter (berry) to me but as it was older didnt lather as well as id hoped it would. But still did the job.
Lush layer cake soap sample- WMBA this was ok but the scent was disappointing as it was hardly there. This was a fairly old sample though. I have a fresher full size of this stashed so ill be interested to compare.
Lush american cream hair conditioner sample- WBA HG, already have full size in use and stashed. Smells amazing and does the job. Feels like its not on/working in the shower but afterwards when your hair is dry it smells so good and feels soft.
Lush i love juicy shampoo sample- WBA HG and already have full size. Lovely smell that lingers in your hair. Does the job well and sorts out my oily roots.
Lush five o clock whistle shaving cream sample- WBA as full size. Its on my list for when i get my first wages. It smells amazing, like the green fruit pastilles and does the job well.
Herbal essences hello hydration hair mask- WBA on offer, lovely smell and does the job well.
Wilko sugared plum and rose deodorant spray- WBA HG i love this smell and it does the job. It also doesnt choke me like other brands can.
Nivea pearl & beauty roll on deodorant- WBA HG i like the smell of this and again does the job well.
Lush down the rabbit hole bubble bar- WBA HG smells like mixed fruit and makes the water a pretty colour and produces lots of soft bubbles. One of my favourites.
Lush love locket bath bomb- WBA however these are discontinued. Do have one remaining in stash. I love these. Smells amazing and makes pretty water and theres also confetti hearts in it (which wash away easily). There is a smaller hidden bomb inside so this could be used for two baths (but im greedy and used the lot!)
I also have some ins to report:
Lush pink custard shower jelly 100g
Lush yellow emoticon bomb (cant remember the name!)
Lush ups a daisy bomb x 2
Lush lover lamp bomb
Lush over & over bomb
Lush unicorn horn bubble bar
Lush love spell massage bar
Lush sex bomb bomb
Lush 2 hearts bath melt
Lush rose bombshell bomb
Lush american cream conditioner sample
Lush i love juicy shampoo sample
Lush maypole soap sample
Lush miranda soap sample
Lush love soap
Lush greeeench deodorant powder

happy belated birthday VALM and good luck Gemzie!
I've had a crazy month, now capped off by being stuck at home as my neck has seized up and won't move after playing netball for work! its driving me mad being stuck not even being able to move round the house much
Re acne, i have the horrendous big red lumps that come up on my chin and just stay there for ages and never seem to develop into anything. Through years of trial and error, I realised overdoing cows milk makes it worse as does eating too much sugar and other processed rubbish and being under stress. If i make sure to eat well with very limited to no dairy and watch my stress my skin does show it. Liz Earle's books have some good advice in for various skin complaints if you need a starting point and I've pre ordered Bobbi Browns new one that sounds like its going to be a bit more skincare/lifestyle than just how to do makeup.
UU
Liz Earle mini super skin oil - HG I got this in a christmas set that then had the batch of vials used in them recalled as some vials that had been contaminated with small bits of glass  Liz Earle then sent me a big 10ml rollerball to replace it. The original set was a boots boxing day half price bargain too so me and my mum were made up with just how :money: the set has turned out as we both got one!
Human + Kind body scrub - I never buy these but this one came in a vegan kind box. was ok but i prefer to dry body brush now to get the benefits from that and it exfoliates too so means i don't need to buy scrubs anymore!
Laura Mercier eye liner - WNBA really not impressed, every time i went to sharpen this the whole point would snap off so whilst this was a quick UU it was a complete waste of product!
Bobbi Brown Kohl liner - This was ok but nothing to write home about. WNBA as not cruelty free.
PHB hand cream - WBA and I really liked the lavender smell, i used it just before bed and it did help me drop off more easily.
REN mini day cream - Id get it in a set but i prefer the Liz earle and elemis day creams to this one.
Elemis cream Cleanser - WBA if in a set but i think this is a bit too expensive on its own.
Elemis cleansing balm - WNBA, i think my skin doesn't like the ingredient that turns the oil to milk as ive had a breakout that isn't like my usual ones and I had one last time i used the bobbi brown oil that does this too. Am trying to UU my last travel bottle of the bobbi brown one whilst the breakouts on anyway so that will be another UU soon and may need to either GA the other elemis one I have in the stash or maybe save for gym bag and hope once a week is ok for my skin to cope with!
Bare Minerals blemish therapy - I don't think this made any difference, it didnt heal and it didn't conceal my big red lumps at all! replaced with the Aveda blemish gel with is working wonders and is actually making a difference!
Origins night cream - WNBA as not cruelty free and refer the Liz earle, this is just a bit too heavy.
Madara serum - WNBA haven't noticed a difference at all!
INs
we went to cheshire oaks and Aveda has some of the xmas sets at half price so INs of the shower gel and body lotion set and the stress fix one.
Also has this months' love lula box and the vegan kind boxes.0 -
Great news Gemzie. So pleased that you will be able to draw a line under this.
Just accepted an offer of a L'Oreal foundation to review, jolly good...Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Great that you have a start date, Gemzie.
I need to go out at lunch and buy a new body puff cos mine just unravelled of it's own accord this morning. Need some toothpaste too.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
