A UU. This had lasted for ages as I know I can't replace it.
It was the 15ml A!di Lacura eye cream in a pump, that matched their soy serum - mine was the mature one.
It disappeared from the standard stock a good while ago, made a come back for a Specialbuy but has now gone for good, it would seem.
Blooming shame, as I really liked it apart from the usual opaque pump issue of never knowing when you are about to run out.

Further A!di Lacura UU of the 10% hydro urea foot cream. I bought three 150ml tubes of this, and I'm halfway down the last one, as the one I just UU'd hid in a corner for a few weeks. I'm hoping this will reappear on Specialbuys soon as it is the bees' knees. I'll buy four tubes next time, probably wish I'd bought five when number 4 runs out.

My NBI £40 5 use facial treatment arrived and a quick look confirms it to be one of those things that is A Right Faff to use.

It's one of those facial procedures that has you not being able to move a muscle for at least half an hour whilst it takes effect. Three times a week. Blast.

Very nicely packaged, however, I'm already suspecting style over substance but we shall see.

    Two UUs tonight:

Lush Ladybird WBA. This smells lovely. I read the description on the Lush website, and it said it had peppermint oil in it, but I never smelt any mint in store or when I used it. Lovely red/pink colour in the water. Lovely. I could have gotten another bath out of it, I got two, but I was in a 'Ah, stuff it' mood and I've been feeling really anxious for the past few days about how I'm doing in my new job, and I wanted to relax with a nice bath. But the bath didn't help. I either ran it too hot, or I'm feeling a bit under the weather as my bath made me sweat :/ Not the most relaxing bath ever, but it did take the edge of a bit.

Avon Care Cocoa Butter Body Butter WNB. Received this as a gift. It did it's job. I only use body butters on my feet because it's too thick for my body. It softened my feet a bit, but the artificial Cocoa Butter smell makes me feel a bit nauseous at times. Hm..
  • Hello everyone.
Bit of action to report on both fronts. INs first,
    5. No7 Lift and Luminate Foundation - I wanted to try this and my mum was buying something else from No7 so we split the buy-one-get-one-half-price offer. Used this once so far and on first instinct, I really like it.
    6. Lush All That Jas Bath Bomb
    7. Lush Rose Jam Bubbleroon
8-9. Lush Metamorphosis Bath Bomb x2

    Also UU:
    7. Lush Big Blue Bath Bomb WMBA. I did like this apart from how much seaweed was in it. I put it in a sieve while it fizzed to catch most of it but it was a bit of a faff. Quite moisturising for a bath bomb though.
    8. Ikea Candle WNBA. Can't remember what this was called. It was a big 3-wick, pine scented one. Very little scent throw. Unfortunately have another one.
    9. Superdrug Simply Pure Eye Makeup Remover WBA. Nothing special, does the job and doesn't irritate my eyes. This was off my PP list.

Getting a few different eyeshadows out for a week at a time proved interesting this week. I had a matte palette from Makeup Revolution, a Pixi palette called Glow Cube I think, and a single from Japonesque out this week and I used all of them but I really didn't feel drawn to any of them. The matte palette is ok but I think I'd prefer fewer shades and bigger pans. The Pixi one has lovely colours but they're all a bit sheer and need a lot of building up. And the Japonesque one is just... just ok. I might give them all one more go but I'm not sure what the point of keeping them is if I have to force myself to use them.

    Happy belated Birthday Valm!
Good luck with the new job, Gemzie! I'm sure you'll do brilliantly and I'm pleased you're getting a fresh start.

I'm off work this week so there may be more INs before the month is out! :)

Treated myself to a rose jam scented bath so a couple of UU to report:

Lush rose jam bubbleroon- WBA made lots of soft bubbles and i love this scent.

Lush rose bombshell bath bomb- WBA love the rose jam scent and the pink colour it turns the water. Really pretty and there are rose petals in there. The petals are big though so easy enough to clean up after.

Massa1982 and Deleted_User- thankyou! :) im so nervous but excited to get stuck in and learn again at the same time. Itll be so strange to be back in work after being away for six months while fighting to get my old job back and then having to get a new one. Itll be good for me though to get a routine again. My body clock is still out of sync from the fact i used to work nights and then six months of doing not much at all in terms of mentally demanding tasks. Im looking forward to tiring myself out mentally again and hopefully get some normality back! :)

I understand exactly what you're saying. Sometimes it's best to just move on and put it down to experience. I'm pretty sure though that they can look at the amount of time you were out of work and the lost earnings during that period. Not sure if there's a cap on the length of time, think it's up to 12 months, but might be worth looking into even if you don't persevere with it. I also know the tribunal can extend the time given to bring a claim in certain circumstances. Your previous employer was obviously playing on the fact you only had three months to bring a claim. Sometimes, if you've got the money, it's worth bringing a claim within the timeframe just to get the ball rolling.

I also work for my local council and absolutely love it. I've been there nearly a year already and work with a lovely bunch of people and love the department I work in.

I'm sure you'll love it too and your previous employer will become a distant memory away :)

That was what i was hoping for if i could have gone to tribunal, ive lost so much money as a result - six months full wages, not to mention i didnt want or need to be on sick but for the fact they made it impossible to do my job without risking my health and the safety of others. I just desperately wanted to go back to my old place of work in some form i could do, i had done every job going there so as my gp argued there was something i could do, they just didnt want to give me the hours there anymore. They knew they couldnt just sack me though, they didnt want to pay redundancy but they knew if they sacked me for no good reason i could have caused even bigger trouble for them! And like you say they were definitely playing on the 3 month thing. I got the extension too with early conciliation but got nowhere with that either. Its been a nightmare. I might have lost out in terms of finances but at least its over now, recieved their response to my resignation and as of today im no longer an employee of theirs. Sad but time to move on. The good thing is when im no longer part of the company i can go and visit the residents as a friend/general visitor not an employee without it being awkward. I miss them desperately and when ive settled in new job i have plans to visit them. Still in touch with some colleagues who said they would love me to visit them and the residents so at least i can still see them (i was moved to a bigger busier care home 20 miles away suddenly (no warning, no risk assessment etc!) after 5 years to position i couldnt physically do, my role became redundant in independent house however id done every role going in main home so the whole argument was why couldnt i be kept there where i was safe and the roles were manageable, but im guessing they just wanted me out so they bo longer had to pay me! After all able bodied employees can do absolutely anything and work all the hours going without any issues - i cant). Going to look into whether i could still bring a claim when i have money but not going to get my hopes up :( like you say though, i just need to settle into new job and ill be fine. My mum works for council too and has been there 17 years now and shes happy so fingers crossed, i do want a permanent job where i can settle so just hoping i pass probation period. If ive still got my job at christmas i will breathe a sigh of relief!

16 Decleor Hydra Floral BB cream This was a sample sized tube that came in my Feelunique advent calendar. The shade was not right for me as it was medium however I wore Laura Geller Balance and Brighten on top. I used this at weekends because I didn't feel there was enough coverage to wear it at work. I may buy a tube in the light shade for my holiday.

Of all the items in my advent calendar I have one left that is capable of being UUed soon which is a tube of Percy and Reed Wonder Balm. This tube is now cut open. The three remaining items are Nuxe lip balm (full size), Rimmel red lipstick (full sized) and Laura Geller Gikded Honey highlighter.

I've earmarked a few items that are spluttering:-

    The Wonder Balm above
Liz Earle Instant Boost skin tonic
    Tony and Guy mousse
    Elemis ProCollagen Marine Cream

I forgot to post three INs I received the other day:

The Body Shop Spiced Apple Gel-Lotion
The Body Shop Frosted Berries Gel-Lotion
The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Gel-Lotion

I received these as a gift of a friend, all unopened, and I like the gel-lotions from The Body Shop
  • Hi all,

Not much movement from me. One small UU of a sample of Mac Waterweight foundation,I liked this but I have concerns about Mac foundations clogging skin and I'm not sure they are as good as some others.

Off to London soon and plan to visit lush and have a few ins. Need to try and not go potty as can't afford to but I've been lusting after things on the website!

17 Laura Mercier Rose Gold Caviar Stick WNB this color again as I have many pink shimmery shadows. Do like the consistency and wear of these. The end broke off today.
