No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries - February 2017

One UU to report:
Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief Normal to Oily Mineral Moisturiser SPF30 sample WMB. I really enjoyed this. Very light and sinks in after a few minutes. Which is very good for a mineral SPF, as they typically leave a white cast. May purchase in the summer and once I've used up my SPF stash0 -
Here's an update to my PP list - doing well, but I had chosen items that were almost gone so March will probably be more challenging:
- body lotion Garnier Urea (have had it for approx 2 years, little left but takes AGES to UU)
- [STRIKE]Neal's Yard Bee Lovely hand cream [/STRIKE] - WNBA, I like some cheaper hand creams better
- Hydraluron serum
- Olay moisturiser and serum in 1
- [STRIKE]Philip Kingsley flaky and itchy shampoo mini[/STRIKE] - liked the consistency of this but don't think I need it any more - I had flaky scalp last winter but it was better this winter (this was a small tub and I only used it sporadically so don't think it was the shampoo), WMBA
- [STRIKE]Nivea creme care shower gel[/STRIKE] - WMBA but I have several other shower gels open. I do love the classic Nivea fragrance.
- Superdrug vit E exfoliator (so harsh! WNBA even though it does leave my skin smooth)
- [STRIKE]Superdrug vit E wipes[/STRIKE] - this was easy - I cheat with wipes as I tend to use 2 at a time - they are my first cleanse, followed by a cream/gel cleanser in the evening (my version of double cleanse). WBA but have two more packs of the Simple KTS wipes to get through first.0 -
Also, I have a bet with a friend that will make any more INs this month very costly to me - so there will definitely not be any over the next 10 days. I have EVERYTHING I could possibly need, most things as multiples.
The last item I did get before I pledged this was the Tidal enzyme cream by Sunday Riley, using the Space NK promotion (haven't got it yet though, it's taking ages to get to the shop where I will click and collect, if they're not careful I might change my mind LOL). I haven't tried anything by the brand so far and one of my favourite bloggers loved it - and I ended up getting it with essentially 25% discount so hoping it's good.0 -

Another UU:
Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief 1% BHA Exfoliant sample WPNB. I can't see a difference from this.0 -
Painted my nails with Sally Hansen So Much Fawn. I think I'm very conservative when it comes to nail colours, I have long fingers and nails and if I put something too colourful, I feel like everyone is looking at my hands
All nail polishes I buy are in similar tones. Although I like dark colours on other people (like black or dark red) . I also like bright reds but I am a bit hopeless to paint my nails and they look like 6 years old me put them on :P

Well, it looks like Am@zon were clearing the shelves as my latest NBI, a Burt's Bees Christmas Bauble is currently unavailable.
My review focused on the products within the tin bauble, the lip balm is great and the hand salve is rubbish. So bad it may be binned and I rarely bin stuff, my feet usually handles most things...
The bauble itself will look OK at the back of the tree come Christmas 2017.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
I agree, love the lip balms and its the only one I use by choice but the hand salves arent nice and I have a few of those from sets.
Good luck tomorrow Gemzie, I'm sure you've done the right thing and will be treated much better.
