Thanks savingfortomorrow, lizzy and houseplant. I am reluctant to spend that sort of cash unless the products are outstanding really. I am wanting to find something that is good for acne and scars, seem to get bad breakouts every so often that leave awful marks / scars. I am using the la Roche posay retinol product (redermic?) but can't say I'm noticing any difference in terms of pigmentation from old spots.

It might be worth speaking to your gp as there is stronger creams on prescription like treclin that are a form of retinol and treats acne. The redermic has more anti aging effects. It might be of benefit to have a stronger or more suited to your individual needs acne cream that reduces the break outs that cause scarring. Between antibiotics and creams, your gp can offer a lots of options that are effective and able to produce a sustained benefit.

There is options of resurfacing and peels to reduce acne scarring'- an experienced in dermatology doctor can offer a lot of options that are best for you.

Thanks for this Val - one to cross off my list. Very tempted by some Sunday Riley products at the moment and Space NK have £15 off online at the moment when you spend £60 (apologies if this enables anyone) :o:o:o

Has anyone used any of the Sunday Riley products?

    Haven't tried Sunday Riley.

BTW my skin still feels sticky this morning.

I've used two full size bottles of Alpha H and hated it, I noticed no difference to scarring or texture and even though I used sunscreen I got pigmentation marks. I would not ever use again. I also had a face wash and moisturiser which I hated too.

    I have a uu

Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil 200ml - WNBA, this does a good job of removing makeup but there is a lot of perfume in it to give it a citrus scent, the packaging is awful although I believe they have put a flip cap on it now and it leaves my eyes blurry and out of focus for ages.

I noticed that with this product as well, glad it's not just me!! I'd be trying to read in bed afterwards and wondering why I couldn't focus on any of the words :rotfl:

    One UU from this morning:

Nivea Pearl & Beauty roll on deodorant mini - WBA and already have.

    Five cheeky INs to report:
    Lush The Sicilian bath bomb
    Lush Vanilla Fountain bath bomb
    Lush Butterball bath bomb
Lush Helping Hands hand cream sample
Lush Twinkle Toes foot powder sample

I've nearly used up all of my Lush bubble bars, only got one and a half left. The bath bombs will be used within in the next few weeks as well, so that's most of my bath products stash gone :)

    Another UU:

Lush Elbow Grease sample WMB, but probably not. It was nice, but nothing to write home about.

So just like buses I have no UUs for ages then three come along at once:-

    11. L'Oreal conditioner contained within Excellence kit I've already gone on and on and on about this hair colour and it's lack of staying power. WDNBA.

    12. Laura Mercier Pistachio body lotion Again, this is lovely product. Will I ever splurge to repurchase? Not sure.

    13. Pur Minerals Colour Correcting Primer Received this sample size in my Feel Unique Calender. WNBA. The only colour corection I need is redness on my nose and I don't think the peach colour of this primer was designed to cover redness.

I have a sample phial of Marc Jacobs Daisy on the go and a 10ml tube of L'occitane Shea hand cream that may go next.

    Hi all....
    :hello:
I'm wondering if I may join.

Little bit about me and my beauty products
I have seriously collected my stash over perhaps the last 5 years or so and never manage to get to a point where more gets used up or goes out before I get more in.
I had a very concious effort last year to lose more than gain and this must continue this year and onwards....my other main challenge is to pay little or nothing for what I eventually need to buy.

My background is that I've been part of the elite thread for quite a few years and as such have taken part in many freebies and product tests as well as having very healthy stashes of boots goodies usually bought as part of glitches or sets in 75% off sales!!!....and I my even still have quite a few lush items from back in the day that they did the mystery lucky dips at sale time.

I also do some beauty reviews for a few skin companies in connection with beauty awards so hopefully each year I am also sent a lovely package free to test and give my opinion on ....I adore these products and usually end up then buying the ones that I've liked.
Most of what I tend to test is in plain packaging and sometimes an unknown brand so can be challenging to track down what it is if its something that I like....but over the years I've got better at identifying things sometimes by smell and a bit of product googling always works well too.

so far this year I'm on an even number of in's to outs but I have to confess that the outs have mainly been treat sized whereas the in's have been as a result of the haircare RTC in Mr Shoes combining the purchases with the corresponding advantage card voucher in the current magazine so potentially getting the products at a lower price and advantage points that then exceed the purchase price...although I believe the offer ends tomorrow so it will be out of temptation going forward.
But for those who do use premium branded shampoos there have been some cracking RTC items that are still well priced without the addition of the points......

I have very healthy stashes of all things beauty(but would possibly be just too embarrassed to actually list it all as it runs into the 100's) with the exception of deo, toothpaste and lippy....all of which I'm currently using the last in stock.

Enough from me so hopefully I will post rather than lurk going forward....
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend
