Afternoon Shipmates
Just back from a short break in Edinburgh so hope you’ve all had a good few days.
When we arrived I had given myself permission to have one glass of wine with dinner. Big mistake because I didn’t stop at one glass and woke on Monday morning with a headache. Lesson learned. I am now an alcohol free zone and you can make me walk the plank if I don’t stick to it.
Managed one long walk (about 10 miles) but nothing much for the other two days. Won’t manage one tomorrow either as the joiner is coming and it’s a big job so I’ll probably have to stay in all day. Have to make up for it on Thursday. At least I had 3 NSDs as all the expenses came from our holiday account.
Haven’t seen the Cabin Boy yet but he seems to have been eating from the freezer which is good and I have taken out pizza for tonight so gaps are appearing.
Tomorrow is weigh in day. Fingers crossed for another pound goneHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Hello all. Really enjoy reading your posts when I get a chance.
9/15 NSDs for me as of today. Finally got under 70 kg - hadn't put on any weight over half term but didn't lose any either. Now 69.8 which at 5ft 6 makes me a healthy bmi. Aiming for 67kg by my wedding and then sustaining sub 70 for a good long while!
Grateful for:
A lovely shop full of healthy, tasty food by OH
A beautiful little boy
A good day at work - the kids were saying how much better they are at reading since being in my class which makes me realise the long hours are worth it !0 -
Just a quick one from me tonight.
Another sfd today, I do need milk but I have some dried milk in the cupboard so I'll make some up. Bread made earlier and soup as well so have enough for lunch tomorrow as well as lunch today
Grateful for:
1. Hm food
2. Dgd who is 3 but so funny she's like a ray of sunshine in the dark
3. Letters from friends

Evening all
I think I'm going to need a day or two of doing literally nothing - otherwise I won't be rested by the end of half term. Was out of the house from 8.30 until 6 today. Hairdressers, tutoring and then over to the bestie's house to catch up over a coffee.
Whilst I've had a brilliant time there's a nag that I've finished 2 days of the hols and done literally nothing... Still, I am trying to let go of the guilt on that front.
Not an nsd with the hairdressers but I did make more money tutoring than I spent at the hairdressers so kind of spend neutral.
Today I'm grateful for:
catch up with the bestie
extra tutoring giving me some much needed cash
ds being well behaved all dayNot giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Walked to the doctor's and back. The abnormal test result was only a high white blood cell count (therefore must have had a virus). Chose not to have a repeat test (as arm is multi coloured from yesterday's samples and the bruises from the time before have still not quite faded. Choosing not to be annoyed at the visit but to celbrate all the good things liver, kidneys and thyroid all well (lungs too as they were tested earlier) just my poor old over burdened heart. Making a committment to my heart to take better care of it and give it the love and attention it deserves.
The other thing that needed doing today was the piece of embroidery to be handed over tomorrow, not quite finished but not much to go and got most of it done in daylight (really helps on dark blue fabric). A NSD.
Today I am grateful for walking better (more rythym and flow), for parts of me being in excellent health and for !!!!! willow buds.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Today I am grateful for a good day at work, for time with dd and dh making a carriage for Cinderella, for agreeing with big sis that we do want to accept the offer on the house, for decent weather for a run, for the lone daffodil blooming amongst a sea of dark purple croci.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Another NSD for me today! Now at 11/15.
Only relaxing now at twenty to nine! Didn't leave work until 6 - started making dinner as soon as I got in and cleaned kitchen/hallway whilst I was it. Shattered now!
I'm struggling with my grateful comments today - took 1.5 hours to get to work, left late, had a fairly stressful day whilst I was there... so they're a bit rubbish...
I'm grateful for a roof over my head, food in the house and the bath I'm going to jump into!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Hiya Turtles
not having a great couple of days so feeling rather quiet. Normally read even if I don't post but realised today I hadn't posted for a few days.
Haven't spent anything which is good.
Don't have three gratefuls at the moment but I do have two beautifully delicate snowdrops in my 'guess the bulbs' flower tubs.Feb NST #4

Getting the momentum up, but getting demoralised. I'm getting slower at running not faster.
Running again tomorrow if the weather is ok. Otherwise it will be a leg day.
Groceries only today. Still within budget on that and everything other than my discretionary spend which is a timing issue. Also now budgetted carefully for next month - lots of travel and holiday that I have been squirrelling money away for.
Gratitude today:
1) For being able to squirrel away money so that I can have 3 weeks travelling all paid for without having to watch every penny (although I will of course:D)
2) For a big freezer. I need to do enough freezer prepping to keep DH fed while I'm away.
3) For family - little sis coming to visit along with aunt and uncle to watch rugby on Saturday ( unfortunately I think we're going to lose - my Uncle supports Wales. I think he'll be happy)Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Got some milk and fruit today so a small spend. Not much else to report, still not feeling great
Today I'm grateful for surviving another day at work, a chat with a friend and nice YS meals from the freezer.
