:rotfl: I was listening to a podcast the other day that said the opposite lol. They said giving something up was easier than starting something.
As to stop something like smoking or eating rubbish you just have to not do that thing, starting something, running or whatever, you have to change your behaviour significantly.
I guess it depends on the person

A NSD. Did my walk - took me so long to make myself get out of the nice warm bed and go outside. I have weight problems but am more worried that it all round my middle (and it wobbles). As I walked along swinging my arms (was stuck waiting for the lights to change and still swinging my arms, I remembered DS1 comparing me ('running') as looking like a pregnant penguin.
Not a lot of progress but had another shuffle - every time I move a box more papers surface - some is actual paperwork but there are lists, receipts and general rubbish too. I wil get there.
Today I am grateful for th brave primroses outside the library putting on a colourful display, for central heating and for my lovely fleece (when I go to the bathroom, I have been putting it on and getting back in bed with it on - I'm the one who keeps switching the heating off).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Apologies for not posting for a few days. I did a very stupid thing on Thursday when over tired after 6 hours driving. I bought 2 YS pizzas for tea and ate one. The one that I thought was GF and wasn't. :wall: Same coloured box but without the massive gluten-free written across. What a bleeding idiot  The result being that I have been ill all weekend; missed my PT on Friday and my class today and have eaten carp as my appetite goes completely once the nausea has shifted.
Back on plan tomorrow and a 2 gym classes booked with a friend tomorrow.
Ate a couple of frogs this weekend; cleared out and cleaned the fridge and washed our duvet. I also managed to clean the kitchen and vacuum throughout.
We had a lovely family day on Saturday when we took DS to a surprise trip to see Lego Batman. Tickets already bought but we bought sweets and snacks and took water from home and got 2 drinks free with points at boots. DH told DS after the movie that he could go to the Lego shop and choose a toy (). We did end up spending more on a set than anticipated but he is Lego mad and the smaller sets do not seem value for money.
I then did my second stupid thing of the weekend and lost my debit card. :wall::wall: First time ever! I think I left it in the ticket machine when I collected the cinema tickets as I was explaining to DS who had a mouth like a '0' that we were going to see Lego Batman.
I have also been to Aphrodite's Island rolled in the sand, had a massive Barbie, swung from the palm trees and frolicked in the waves. :rotfl: I have had a pot of personal spends saved up from last year and have spent the lot on a dress and a jacket. Neither cheap or in the sale but classic shapes, flattering and will be worn a lot. I did buy another dress but will take this back as I do not think I will get my wear out of it.
Today DS had 2 rugby matches and I did my first stint of fund raising and made a £2 contribution. I couldn't feel my fingers back in the club house so £1 was spent on a tea and DH and DS had a pint and coke respectively. Obviously not feeling the cold
My DB and new partner popped in for a cuppa (I say popped but we are over an hour and a half away) which resulted in emergency cake and biscuit purchases on the way back from Rugby. Also bought some new LED lightbulbs for the living room as every one blew yesterday.
I haven't done a proper shop this week but have gone over budget already for the month. Will re visit my meal plan and try and get to Alddee tomorrow lunchtime as working from home.
I still haven't got the 2 phones sent off
Today I am grateful for:
1) The community at DS's rugby club
2) My DB feeling comfortable to bring his partner to meet us
3) Lovely family day yesterday
4) Nice chat with my DM tonight
5) Pleased that I was diagnosed Coeliac so quickly 5 years ago as I would not want to feel like I did this weekend again but everyday _pale_:drool:_pale_Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

2 Use comparisons constructively. Stop comparing yourself unfavourably with others.
One of my favourite quotes is by Theodore Roosevelt and it says:
"Comparison is the thief of joy."
I read somewhere that when we compare ourselves to others, we know all the dirty details of our situation or the problems with what we've created but only the seemingly positive surface information about others or their work. So we mustn't hold ourselves up to some outside vague standard of greatness. Let us judge our work by our principles and leave comparison out of the equation."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

Didn't get around to posting yesterday - was gone 11pm when I rememberedAnother spend day yesterday - trip to Tesc0 for a newspaper (we have an occasional Sunday paper) and plain flour and some other bits n pieces which we didn't get at Sains. Included £1.92 on cleaning stuff. OH also wanted to go to MnS outlet - where he picked up 2 jumpers and 2 polo shirts for bargain prices. I found a stupidly cheap pair of long exercise leggings so bought those with my reward vouchers (no spends!
) - will try them on later and see if they are squat-proof!
Things I am thankful for yesterday:
* dolphin vegetables at Tesc0 - plenty for the guinea pigs for the week
* playing after dinner board games with the children and a £1 box of Malteeesers
* a lie in yesterday morning, as OH got up with DS3
Lousy night's sleep last night - was awake a lot and my hips were painful. Have also been properly awake since before 6am - good job we have nothing strenuous planned today!Currently sat snuggled under fleecy blankets on sofa next to DS3 - he is watching Leg0 Nex0 Kn1ghts on tv - new series started today and he has been eagerly waiting for it - he's very excited watching it - very sweet
