I am feeling a bit all over the place at the moment. I hope it passes!
I think our haircut appointment is next Thursday but not entirely sure as I did not write it down (doh). Then I ordered a TGTG bag from the local garage yesterday (it is M&SSF) - only to remember we are going away today (DH's AGM). Fortunately, the bag was cancelled but I spent a good hour dreading going out for a 21.00 collection, for stuff we might not be able to use. I contacted DS to ask if he could bring the milk in on Saturday morning and after a few minutes he suggested I could simply cancel it (I have now) - it just means we will need milk on Monday/Tuesday (why did I not consider this?) I ordered a couple of Milkman offers but had to message their CS and eventually could only order them separately or the offer only applied to one item in the basket. I think that was their system, and not my incompetence.
My sweetpea plug plants I had forgotten I ordered arrived yesterday. No chance of preparing the ground or getting them in, I put the boxes outside and promptly stepped in the dog poo I went out to pick up (the joy of it!). Left the trainers outside overnight and I have cleaned and washed them this morning. They are on the warming plate of the aga now as I want to wear them later.
My big river subscription said they could not get the dog food and I was running very low, so I ordered some from PAH which I must collect today. It will give me a little buffer in case there are supply issues, but I suspect the supply is actually shrink-flation again (as it is with the cat food) I see it comes in 2.5k bags now that used to be 3kg.
I paid the balance for the SC cottage we have in Scotland in April. My DM offered to come with us and look after the dog. Seriously considering that offer but I am not sure if she was serious. It is two bedrooms and she knows the other people in the bigger house. I would need to tell the cottage people and also book her on the ferry crossings with us. It will mean dropping out of seeing our friends on the way back too so a few things to consider.
After talking about it for months, DS called EE and separated our accounts. After signing up for an account that let both be billed (my account) and data could be transferred a few years ago, he has my account but I pay for both!! He will be 31 in two months time!!!! It took almost an hour and the CSA was definitely looking up how to do things while talking to him/us, with no verbal feedback to suggest he was working on it. Not great. And then, unfortunately, while he could separate them, he could not change the name back to me on mine. Apparently I must write a real letter, we must both sign it and send my Marriage certificate! I asked what happens if I don't have one (I do, but I am not sending it to a mobile phone operator) and asked if a picture of my DL will suffice. After more delay, it seems it will do. I cannot email them, because EE do not list a CS email contact point. They happily combined them on the say so of DS, and suddenly I am persona non grata and need his permission to have my own account again! I have been happier but at least it is not @LadyWithAPlan and O2.
I have signed up and completed a few surveys since Monday. Only one site and not without the first one jamming. I am over the £5 voucher threshold now but not sure it is for me. If the weather remains sludgy it might mean more survey sites though.
East Midlands (because it is central) DH's AGM tomorrow. If it is wintry what am I going to do with a dog for four hours!?
Have a good Friday (and weekend) all!

I'm not surprised you're feeling all over the place, but you're doing absolutely brilliantly, with all that going on! Well done you, have a celebratory ☕2023: the year I get to buy a car3

Oh yes, forgot (see what I mean?), we booked our solar installation for 16th so next Thursday. Nothing since. Nada, nothing. So I rang them.. Oh yes, that is all going ahead... no confirmation email, no contract, no invoice, no word whether they need scaffold (or access to erect it). Is it just me? £10k of work and the customer service is totally non-existentSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I'm sorry you are feeling all over the place, when similar happens to me I find it exhausting which then makes it worse, I think it is due in my case that I end up being reactive as opposed to proactive.
That is appalling customer service, a simple confirmation email would have helped no end.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

That doesn't sound at all dissimilar to our installation situation unfortunately SL. I think a) a lot of the actual installation companies are not cowboys per se, but effectively roofers with no real back office and b) overrun with work and so things slip. As you know we're complaining about our installers and still waiting to hear back from Eon about our claim for damages....Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I'm with KC on this one @Suffolk_lass - there's a lot going on and I'm not at all surprised you're feeling all over the place. From memory, our solar installation guys seemed a bit useless (i.e. left cardboard boxes full of parts in a leaky garage in the driving rain that then disintegrated). Their comms was fine, however, and they did a good job on the day. 7 1/4 years later and we've never had an issue. May your experience be similar5

Actually, that is all really reassuring about solar installers. I think ahead of their arrival I might relocate the motorhome for the day, and I would like to re-hang a concrete roof tile that has slipped.
I now have my home insurance quote. Oh the irony. Their cautionary note about making sure the information is accurate, or else. Addressed to me using my Mother's married name. I have never been Mrs. Their bolded message after the quote says that they charge a £30 admin premium if the invoice is paid in full (I assume "not" has been omitted). Naturally I will check. It is a 20% increase in premium for the buildings part, to reflect the increased replacement building costs. A nightmare. Ouch, I wince on your behalf when the annual home insurance quote comes in. I appreciate why it's so high but oh the price you pay for an interesting home, it's 10x+ our usual1

Ohhhhh, that home insurance premium is eye-watering, @Suffolk_lass. I adore period properties, but that post made me feel grateful to live in a run-of-the-mill 1930s semi.
