I was also starting to think thatI am seriously wondering how much room we will have for us and our stuff...oh dear you might just have to drop him off at my door on the way past
Have a lovely break
Too many times I've had similar treatment also SL. When I ordered some touch up paint as I was doing lots of miles and knew the bonnet would need occasional tlc, the guy at the desk exclaimed 'oh dear have you had a prang'I had also asked for 1L of oil in case of needed top ups (marque branded & were cagey with the specs at the time) & the comedy moron said if it used even any oil I should have it towed in & basically refused to sell it to me
& I had asked about buying a spare wheel (only came with the stupid can of foam) again being conscious of my mileage & got some endless mansplaining about how I shouldn't be changing wheels on main roads, like putting a can of foam in it would be any safer
Needless to say they never got an ounce of anything extra from me, I completely shot them down when they tried to book the car in for MOT & were shocked when I declined their 'kind' offer to do my brake pads and instead did them myself.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

I walked out of a garage I had an appointment at for a test drive some years ago when the salesman constantly addressed all his conversation to MrEH. Several times MrEH said “it’s no good asking me - she’s the one who knows about cars” to no avail, so I explained why we were leaving, and we left.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

If I was offended easily I think I’d be a total mess most of the time as I take charge of all things car, money, house, work, life 😬😶 (some of those can be combinations without the commas too!)
However I used to work for a contract where the customer would only deal with the other senior member of staff who was male. I would tell him how his spending had fared that week and he would reply to my colleague, I would reply to his comment and he would answer to my colleague. Honestly the rudest man I have ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with. The final straw was; once during a conversation where I contributed (necessarily) he shushed me (🤫like this) and I had to walk away so that I didn’t punch him. Needless to say I changed contractsFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Oh, this kind of casual sexism really pees me off. I remember back when I was single, I booked an appointment for window replacement. On arrival, the rep asked if there was a 'man of the house' & when I said I was the owner of the property, he said 'Oh great, that means there's only you I need to please then". I said "For your information, I'm very hard to please & I can also smell.bullsh*t from a mile off".
Well, his prejudices also extended to postcodes because when I phoned later to say I accepted the quote (it was a good deal tbf), he said "When I heard what address I was going to, I thought it'd be for one window being bought on finance"!! I said I would be paying cash in full so it would behove him not to make stupid judgements. I didn't even live in a bad area. I think if this happened now, I'd have contacted the boss & said that I'm taking my business to a company which covers equality issues in its staff training, but this was a dinosaur rep I encountered a long time ago.

I had this when I was having a job done. The guy asked if anyone else lived here, so the answer is yes my son. So he wanted to speak to him. Good luck with that - he doesn't come out of his room. If you really need to speak to him then I'm afraid - & stood up and walked towards the exit!

We had similar with an estate agent - he insisted we were both there for the conversation. The guy kept addressing questions to Mr MV, who hates this, so he deferred answering every question to me. This was only one of the reasons he didn't get the job (the main one being he couldn't dress himself properly - he didn't have matching socks on, which given he spends a lot of his day taking his shoes off, seemed pretty unacceptable in someone we were entrusting the sale of our house to!). He wasn't even an older man, he was about our age, but proper 'estate agent' - whereas most of the ones we dealt with were actually better than their rep!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

How irritating - I hate this type of stuff. You are all more polite than me as I would definitely be rude to them in those circumstances and submit a formal complaint.2025 decluttering: 3,984🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

I had similar customers to MissRikkiC who were based in the middle east, would actively remove me from the reply to the email I had sent them, boss would forward it to me, i'd respond, & round we would go again. Luckily they never came over for meetings. Just because they can treat women like that in their country
& a friend had similar to you foxgloves also for windows, her other half could not care less & wasn't interested in being any part of the decision, and was working away anyway but some companies refused to even stay for their booked appointment when they couldn't speak to both of them (ie him) together
