Unfortunately it's not one we can manually reset - the thing would need a factory reset tool to adjust it. Independent places can do this for £50 for legal adjustment, supported by documentation (he has this). He will want to explore in his club and probably get a main dealer to do it, if there is no-one in the club with the kit.
I believe there is no obligation in the UK to display the correct mileage. If sold, the mileage must be correctly stated or that is an offence.
In other news, I have regained my window-sill and kitchen from tomato, chilli and bell pepper seedlings. That is all so far. I won't start the squashes until we get back from Scotland.

It must be said the "interest landing" point for various accounts has been a LOT less interesting over the last few years - can only begin to hope that might look up again some time soon!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

After a quick review of seedlings in the greenhouse yesterday I brought a heated propagator indoors and set it back up on the windowsill in the kitchen. It contains 6 bell pepper seedings, none of which are taller than 3 cm. I agreed to drop the seedlings off to my neighbour over Easter weekend to minimise the damage our DS can do by over watering while he is house and cat sitting. She is the same person who ordered all the grow bags (we shared a pallet).
I do hope they survive our absence. I am going to take a few to Scotland with us to give my sis.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Your Scottish trip is coming up fast - when do you leave? Such a great thing in your moho.2023: the year I get to buy a car4

My pepper seedlings are still small too, @Suffolk_lass. In fact, pretty much all the more tropical veg babies are struggling to thrive here arm. Too warm inside & insufficient light, but chilly in the greenhouse & the cloches & bubblewrap blocking light there too. They all need more consistent temperatures & some spring sunshine so things can get growing properly.

2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

Yes, spot on @foxgloves, but I think also, I skipped the smaller pots when potting them on - straight to square top 4" or 10cm pots, so there is a lot of root growing needing to happen before they really start to shoot.
It was warmer here yesterday so I took the cloche tops off until about six, then covered them all back up for the night. We also moved all the strawberry plants and runners to a raised bed from the sink and shovelled out a lot old compost from the (double or maybe quadruple sized Belfast type) sink so we could drag it away from the house wall a bit (found two more runners with good roots just spread over the house wall. Let's hope they all get away well in the fresh compost. We plan to grow salad crops in the sink this year. And DH planted some more onions of the long style like banana shallots but proper onions.
Having been discussing Martin's email that stresses warm the human, not the house with @debtfreeoneday , and a solution for cold feet with @beanielou I wanted to just mention what I do to keep warm. I realise this is teaching my Grandma to suck eggs for some but for others, I have a fleecy fabric covered hot water bottle cover on a bog standard hot water bottle and I sit with feet on a footstool (avoiding the under the door draughts) with the water bottle on top of my shins and feet, and with a fleece blanket/throw under and around me. I also take said HWB to bed and once my feet are warm, if I'm not asleep, I put it in the small of my back and with a 10.6tog duvet, sometimes with a nice warm cat on top, I have not needed the second duvet for the last five years. When the air temperature is cold, the cat comes to snuggle.
We have not had the heating on since mid January (because I was not willing to pay over £1 a litre for heating oil) so I know this works. I also have a 500w oil filled heater in my study (when I am cold I move it under my desk, between my knees, and never need to turn it up full), with hot drinks in my hands to stop them going dead. I have a second heater in my bathroom, as I loathe a cold bathroom on a chilly morning. It goes on at bedtime and off when I get dressed next morning, so it also runs on economy 7 rate.
I went to the pharmacy, market, butcher and Morries yesterday. So much for spending nothing! I bought bread and pastries from the bakery at the market, ready for Easter, and a nice piece of belly of pork to slow roast at Easter. Then on to Morries who had had a disaster. Their refrigeration controller had malfunctioned and all the fresh refrigeration had to be emptied, cleaned down and the food disposed of. No possibility of buying any as this was discovered at 06.00 and they did not know what temperature the food had reached overnight so literally everything was waste. I spoke to the cleaning manager and they were all hands to it. cleaning everything down and mopping up the floors, and by the time I got out with my dry goods there were two articulated lorries waiting to replenish the shelves. I presume the engineer was on-site. I do hope it was a repair and not some sort of malicious attack.
Today I am meeting a former work colleague who is driving over from Bucks to discuss pensions and retirement preparations over lunch and a bit of a leg stretch. I'm looking forward to it and I hope she thinks it is worth the journey and fuel cost to pick my brain.
I used up the little gem lettuces last night with less cream than normal (as that was my intended fresh purchase, with some planned hummus) in the braised lettuce dish. I rinsed out the cream bottle with a bit of blue top milk to make sure it was all in the dish and not wasted! - I had about four streaky rashers left too so snipped them into small pieces and added them when I sautéed the scallions, for a bit of extra protein and for DH's bigger appetite.

We are off on the Tuesday following Easter weekend and in the car this time. Still not 100% about our plans as the friends we are due to see on the way back are not doggy people and will confirm today whether pup can stay there.
We have no choice but to take him this time (dog sitter has changed her mind, understandably) and have cleared it with the other house occupants. The main event is a shared house with (hopefully) 12 in the Estate House and four in an overspill house up the road.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I will absolutely be buying HWBs and blankets this year. The bathroom I have to confess is my urgh. The toilet seat is cold as is the floor. Not sure a fleeces toilet seat cover is the answer. 😂 and then I feel like a proper madam complaining the seat is cold. Our heater is there though by the time you turn it on would be only just warming up by the time you’ve finished so we rarely put it on.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Friends (definitely not doggy people) have said pup can stay, in their utility room. I need to say thank you (as DH took a message while I was out with my friend). I need to check with the party people next, and if they say yes we will need to tell the holiday house people that we will be departing a day earlier than everyone else. Life used to be more straightforward but nothing so far, is insurmountable.
Nice day with my ex-colleague friend who drove over 1.5 hours each way to see me yesterday. We spent an hour or so talking specific retirement and pension things (she needs to be aware of SERPS impact on her state pension and decide whether to pay voluntary contributions up to the end of the tax year before she is 67) and she needs to consider whether her financial planning should include some sort of future care insurance. She has just got an allotment so the second copy of my Caroline Foley Allotment book left the building along with a few tiny vegetable plants (3 peppers; one of each chilli and a bell, four different tomatoes) and I have a tiny bit more space in my greenhouse.
After that we went for a nice local walk - about four miles and lovely open skies, and then to the local for a bite to eat (for which she paid as a thank you). She was really good company and I suggested I could drive over her way once she retires for a walk in her locality if she is up for that (and she is). Other things we talked about are not being afraid to spend more capital when you retire as you are likely to do more active and adventurous things when young enough to do so. She will be 61 so ten years of scuba diving and sailing are not unreasonable things to planSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
