Preparing for Re-Mortgage (had nightmare before due to an interest free cc I paid off) and had some questions around this dark arts that may or may not have meaning. I'm not worried about the score but the oddities that are shown.
1) Noddle (638 5/5)
a) Shows I'm not on electoral roll but is using the address I registered with, not one I updated account to show my current house. Was updated a few days before last report, should I worry or let time take its course?
b) The amount they have for my mortgage is lower than it actually is by £18k (only made £7.8k payments). Is it likely to cause issues if I state I owe x but check returns x-18?
c) I had a personal loan and credit cards which show me having negative balances for a few months (due to early repayment and cashback). Will this weirdness have an impact?
2) MSE Credit Club (999 Experian) would like clarification.
a) Under the credit card affordability my total rating is good, this is because my Debt Ratio is Fair. I have £128 on my credit card that is paid off monthly (so a timing thing) I also have a sea of green for payments and finances going back 6 years. Why is this score so bad?
b) Debt to income ratio is amber :undecided. As above my file shows £128 debt and £17k unused. Why no
Thank you and sorry about my OCD on these small points.

Your score doesn't matter. It's almost entirely a work of fiction.
Your financial situation is fine, stop worrying.0 -
Your scores will vary with the different CRAs. This is why no-one takes these random numbers seriously.
Your address issue could simply be due to timing.
If you register on the ER, it will be updated in due course with the CRAs. Your local council will be able to tell you when they send the information off to them. There can be a 3 month or more delay in the information being updated. Just make sure you are registered on the ER and your address is updated with all your accounts accurately to reflect this. Time will do the rest.
The rest of the details look good. As long as you have lots of green dots/ticks with no late payments, over limit, defaults or CCJs showing on your CR then it's healthy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Thank you. I am somewhat paranoid about my file when it comes to a mortgage.
I was rejected by a bank for having too much debt on a credit card. This was a 0% card, in the introduction period, that I had already fully paid off. Oh yes, bank was the same one that issued the credit card and could see it was paid off... but computer said no (unlike competitor next door).0 -
That would fall under affordability checks rather than declined due to adverse information on your CR.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Yes it was but the reason for failing affordability was only highlighted from looking at a credit file and seeing bank still showed I owed it money although paid off. So wrong/outdated info on report.0
