  • Google the area where you live + CAB. You could also check to see if there is a carer's centre, as they can offer emotional support and benefits advice.
  • I'm saving all sorts of trouble contacting cab, it's not very clear
  • I wish there was a email address where somebody could make an appointment for me at any near cab

All the phone numbers I try have proved to be a waste of time

I just want to make an appointment at any cab near to north London Barnet area

    Okay

This is the page for Barnet CAB services

    http://barnetcab.org.uk/our-services/

Phone line is open for quite a long time. There is an email service

In my experience a lot of CABs won't just give you an appointment. Like Barnet they will offer a "triage" service in that they will want to see you, talk to you before deciding if a full appointment is the best "next step". This is because sometimes people can self help/the answer is straightforward/they may be best helped by another organisation etc etc. I don't know about Barnet but many CABs are very stretched both resource and client wise

In general CABs will only see people from their area. You can't just pick and choose where you go. Much of the funding comes from the local LA and they will want that to go on their residents

Hank's but this is one of the first places I tried, I was a few hours after trying different options, it really is difficult and I'm still nowhere nearer getting in contact with them.

I'm not sure what this number is for but its just a recorded message saying to contact your nearest CAB. Well that's what I'm desperately trying to do:mad:

    Telephone Helpline: 0300 456 8365

    And
