What else am I forgetting to clean?

Absolutely GQ. I had to laugh at your strike through. When my brother was a lad, some 65 or so years ago, he used to write to our great aunt and he finished every letter "from your loving fiend Peter".
I reckon that I am clean enough to be hygienic and grubby enough to be happy. Crockery, cutlery, utensils, everything bathroomwise and I'm as fussy as anything. But the tops of cupboards and the backs of appliances and the bottoms of bins.....well......... life is short enough as it is.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I seem to be doing ok with things like tin openers, keyboards and phones etc But there are 2 things in my kitchen that never get a good wash
My great, great grandmother's wooden rolling pin and her girdle (not the panty one, the one for tattie scones and Scottish pancakes). I was told never to steep or wash them in water but to wipe them down thoroughly after each use.
They have patina :rotfl: and fingers crossed, so far haven't caused any health issues.
I've realised I don't wash the wine opener
Recently joined the steam cleaner / mop club and I'm amazed by how much ground in dirt that baby blasts away, especially around taps and the loo hinges. It's the only thing that's taken the "niff" away from the cats' litter boxes too. No matter how much they were scrubbed n disinfected before there was always a catty pong. Seems like a good steaming does the trick.0 -

Reading this thread makes me realise how slovenly I am:rotfl: Fortunately my lack of cleaning is offset by minimalism belongings wise, so it's always very tidy here and people have commented how clean it is. Some of you guys put me to shame, maybe I need to get a monthly cleaner in to do the bits I miss!Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
And why is it that if workmen have to drag out a cooker, fridge or other appliance, along with the shame-making grot and general muck there are always an inordinate number of dried up peas.
If anyone now posts and says that they regularly pull all their appliances out and scrub under and round them please note - you are not my friend.

Built in cooker helps and having a cat who loves to shove all his toys under the fridge freezer is a godsend. Means I'm routing around with me feathered stick at least once a week. Keeps it pretty clean0 -
How many of you clean the bottom of your kitchen bin ?
Not me i dont have a bin. I use carrier bags (well Lidls bin liners with handles). Any wet stuff gets put in a plastic bag and sealed before chucking in the bag. When its fairly full the handles get knotted together and it gets chucked in the wheelie bin outside. The rubbish bag is hidden in an empty bit of cupboard.
I hate bins.
The top of my fridge/freezer gets cleaned when i think about it (not very often). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Can I be honest..... I actually thought this was a spoof thread with people talking about cleaning inside radiator valves and inside lamps but I now realise what a lazy lady I am and equipped with my toothbrushes and newspapers I will be attacking my house with a whole new energy....tomorrow ....or maybe Sunday

You guys are pure entertainment thank you :T0 -
My ceiling :rotfl: I have really high ceilings and don't often look up there! When I do I notice all the cobwebs hanging down so I get the vacuum out and go round the house vacuuming the ceiling (with the hose attachment obviously

Take a tip from my best friend.
She leaves her cobwebs in situ and sprays them with glitter for Christmas.
