This is my first experience of my energy supplier going bust. Two days time I should know if I'm an Octopus customer.

I had no complaints with Tonik. Got a good deal, a good service, I’ve only just renewed with them annoyingly. I’m about to move house as well so hoping it won’t get too messy.0

I've never been with a supplier whose gone bust before, - so shall be a learning experience, joined Tonik in May 2018 & have been very happy with them ever since - always had a great deal - fab service, such sad news for Tonik & their employees....Plus a huge thanks to MSE's Cheap Energy Club sending me an email to alert me to this news - fabulous - thank you!!!0

Been with tonik a while, they have been helpful but when the it system moved over my account was a mess. To their credit they did resolve over Facebook and messages. But it took ages.
Disappointing though, this is the second supplier to go bump I've had.
Credit to MSE as well emailing and letting me know.0 -
Oh wow, only found out due to the MSE email too.
Luckily i downloaded my September bill (found in my mobiles download folder), almost £200 credit!!
Is it wise to cancel the direct debit or wait till we hear anything over the next few days?0 -
I am not surprised by Tonik going bust in the slightest. They had serious billing issues when I was with them last year. It took SIX months to resolve after raising a complaint and a threat to take them to the Ombudsman. Once seemingly resolved I then promptly moved to another supplier yet they still carried on billing me with estimated readings! Up until today I was still chasing repayment of a small credit balance however I feel sorry for all the folk that recently moved to them with the lure of a free boiler service. I doubt that will be offered by whoever takes over their customers. I cant believe the Directors were not aware of their co's insolvency.

You can see the directors on linked in if you want to message them!
One question, what's the holding company Retig about? I see directors on the board there as well?0 -
Martin Lewis, is there a hack to get us through this.

Anyone else use Tonik for FiT payments too? What happens with those?

My deal with them was up at the turn of the month. Apparently i'm £150 in debit which is odd as i've never been in debit ever. This explains why they've suddenly not replied to my Twitter messages though.Currently in the middle of switching away.0
