CLF my crochet guru! Do you think this is even possible? https://goo.gl/iDDmCv
6mm crochet hook (size 4 UK) and 8 puff stitches (up to 11 loops of yarn on the hook) into a ch4 space?! I have seriously tried it 10 times and can't get it to work... Tried a magic circle too and still can't get it to fit...

    Afternoon all :)
    Busy busy busy today!
    So far I have:
Turned off heating - it is quite warm today, or feels like it in comparison to the arctic weather we have had recently
    Walked dog
    RM surveys tasks
Washed bathroom floor, kitchen floor, hall floor and the walk through part of the lounge floor (house has a strange layout)
Washed down stair tread sides (we have a carpet runner along the middle)
Washed down inside of front door
Load of washing, which is currently on the line, I am watching closely as it looks like rain
Ironed a pile of shirts
Sold 2 items on ebay :)
Experimenting with pizza dough in my bread maker - DS has GD1 here this weekend, and I thought she would like the idea of building her own pizza for dinner :) I have taken tomato sauce, ratatouille, oddments of ham, roasted courgettes from freezer and will take salami, cheese, peppers etc from fridge. Will do potato wedges and salad to go with the pizzas, assuming they work ok

    Still to do:
Roll out second batch of pizza dough and put to prove
    Walk dog again
Keep an eye on the washing, it can go on the airer later (sadly no wheels here either :rotfl:)
List a couple of items on ebay, plus relist the things ending today

There is probably more - if so, I will update later :)

    Afternoon all :hello:

Before I forget - I've been meaning to answer someone who asked about Top Cash Back charges the other day, sorry if that was you, I keep forgetting! Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, and I searched on here, and found that they automatically put everyone on premium membership  There was a notification, but you didn't get it unless you logged in (and I hadn't for two years). I emailed through their website and they just removed it again. Certainly wasn't worth it for me - I've earned 13p cashback through them in the last 2 years so paying £10 of charges wasn't really worth it :rotfl:

    Anyway, today...

    * Went out for breakfast with Mr Cheery for first time this month - spent £3.05 between us :money: including a snack we brought home to have after lunch
    * put breadmaker on for later
    * went to DIY shop but couldn't find what we wanted so came home empty handed
    * afternoon of DIY planned :j
    * home made pizza for tea - base is already made must take out of the freezer)
    * popped into a charity shop that had a 'fill a (giant) bag for £5' day, and came out with NOTHING
    * banks/ynab later
    * couple of surveys this morning - including one for 100 SB :money: Over half way to next payout there now :j

That's it I think, sure I'll think of something else!

The teens got an extra free fish as it jumped in the bag with the others and the nice assistant said it would be too stressful for the fish to try to get one out again :)

The weekly shop was more than I would have liked (£77) but only £27 of that was my contribution and it also included a pack of Sh@rpie markers for the Christmas present drawer RRP £22 down to £6 (for 30 markers) and all my stuff for lunches. I bought several packs of value chocolate biscuits to go with late night cups of tea as we keep buying the big bags of chocolate buttons which works out really expensive. I also bought a huge box of branded tea bags as they were half price. I usually buy own brand tea bags but have started using two per cup as I like my tea really strong, I'm hoping just one of these will suffice.

I popped into the £ shop to buy more packing tape and some mailing bags (for the clothes I've not uploaded yet!) and popped into Smlggle. I've never been in there before but it seems hugely popular and they had a bit of a sale going on. I was tempted to buy a half price pencil case for the same child I've got the markers for but will give it a bit more thought, her birthday isn't until November so time is on my side :rotfl:

Hope you are all having a good day!
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

This is a very intriguing sentence if you start reading from the end of the thread and go backwards!!! Having read your previous post I now understand.

Feeling grumpy and out of sorts. Dont even know why. In fact everyone here has been a bit like this today. I really dont think the weather helps.

Went for a run first thing - in the rain. For me there is a kind of strange childish delight in running in the rain. Maybe I am a bit odd.

Came home, had a shower, went to the supermarket, then home to feed everyone, tidy up and walk the dog. Bit of laundry done and that's about it for my Saturday.

Oh and we called to see the friendly local farmer who sells us the most lovely home grown spuds. Every time we go he gives me a carrier bag of freebies. I dont know whether a) he does this with everyone or b) if I look poor and hungry but he is a genuinely lovely man and it is really sweet of him. Todays carrier bag was onions, parsnips and carrots. I dont know if he realises how much I appreciate this.

Right, off to put some music on and dance round the kitchen while I assemble the spag bol I made earlier into lasagne. Maybe a little glass out of the post Christmas drink stash might help my mood?
  • Evening everyone
Only just getting on now for a catch up with everything. Enjoying quite a nice bit of a weekend off which really makes a change. :j
Ally - enjoy your night away, it sounds fab.
CLF and Yorkshire - hope you're both feeling grand again very soon.
So, I got so much done at work yesterday that for the first time in goodness-knows-how-long I have a weekend without any school work. I feel magnificent for it - although still tired as I always am. Got up and went to my trainer as usual at 7am and then went out with bestie and our ds's. Everyone spent money except me :T most proud of myself :D I think I must have worked quite hard at training today though because I'm aching rather more than usual and I'm yawning every few minutes. Obviously I have been far too active today.:p
Also been to my tutoring session, which is a nice extra few £ that will definitely see me through to payday on Tuesday.
Other than that just the usual - cleaning, cooking, knitting. My life is a bit samey at the moment - not that I'm complaining - it just means I don't have much to report in here.
Oh wait! TCB were offering a free £5 bonus cashback on any purchases over £10 today.

    Hello Saturday Savers,
Successful city centre trip today with lots of money saving:
*Took packed lunch to avoid the 'Being out of the house at lunchtime & therefore wasting at least a tenner' issue.
*Withdrew cash to pay all our Savings Piggies.
*Bought a TV Firestick as an affordable replacement for our old Humax box which is now in its death throes. This was fully budgeted for. Also includes a free month of Amazon Prime. Paid on CC to maximise points for vouchers. Will pay money across to CC on Monday.
*Used some of the above vouchers from CC to reduce the cost of some new undies.
*Used vouchers earned from Ipsos surveys to purchase Thermos travel mug for mr f (his old cheapie version broke, showering cat with cold coffee dregs) & a birthday present.
*Called in 'Tiger' to see if any sock yarn back in stock. Yay!! Bought 6 balls (£1 each, sufficient to knit 3 pairs of socks - nice colourways too). Good profit margins when I can get proper sock yarn at this price.
*Used Body Shop voucher to reduce cost of a face scrub. Made up the balance with January's leftover personal spends so no hit to the budget.
*Bargainmongous haul in Waterstones. They had a rummage box of cards (some birthday, some Christmas) - really nice quality at 4 for £1. Bought 4. Also bought 4 funky little cat bookmarks which fit along the top of the page, reduced to 50p each & now in my presents box. This should have come to £17-52 but sale price was...........£3.
    *2p roadkill.
*Did not buy Whitesnake CD boxset, despite going back to look at it 3 times. (Oh dear,& then while still in HMV, I accidentally groped a complete stranger's bum. He didn't appear to be remotely embarrassed....or.... thankfully, think that I was coming on to him. And mr f, who was on the other side of the shop at the time, thought it was amusing. Typical!!)
*Called in at our local town for mr f to get a haircut. Parked on outskirts & walked in for free parking.
*Found lovely black slinky top in charity shop for £2.49. Fits perfectly & goes with quite a bit of my stuff.
*Bought 8 persimmons for £1 on market stall
*Free coffees & food mag at Waitrose.
*First grocery shop of the new budget done using the £50 of Co-op vouchers I got for taking out an insurance policy recently, so I only had to pay the additional £3.74 from our grocery budget.
Intending to have a nice relaxing evening together, watching more of an old series on DVD - 'Cape Wrath'......a really unusual & intriguing story, & another one featuring Tom Hardy (v young!) who we were talking about recently. Might knit some sock order, might not.
    Have a good night, all.

Foxgloves, you probably made that strangers day! :rotfl:

    Lovely reading everyone's news.

We've had a nice day too, we took the kids into the big City for the first time ever today!
They were both really good and we'll definitely go back soon as it was so nice to all be out together.
    Small things...
    * Breakfast at home before heading out for the hours drive :)
    * Took a hot drink with us in the car :)
    * Went to J0hnLew1s with the free drink/cake voucher, dh had a coffee, kids had chocolate orange cake (would have been £5.80!) and dh shared a scone, so it cost us £2.30 :)
    * Bought the kids a drink from B00ts using advantage points :)
    * H0lland/Barrat sent me an email with a bonus £3 coupon for free :) Called in and got 2 bags of chocolate peanuts that were on offer 2/£3 :):)
    * Walked around for a few hours showing the kids the sights - free exercise :)
    * Lunch was at pizza xpress, we had clubcard vouchers to pay for this and only drank water :) So much food! kids loved it though :)
    * Home via the petrol station and got a ys loaf for 19p :)
    * Called in at co0p for ys veggies to go with sunday lunch, got parsnips and cabbage :) so will knock these off tomorrows planned mr T delivery
    * After such a big lunch, the kids have had beans on jacket spud for tea, we will fridge dive later (can't think about food yet!)
    * Dh & I have been jigging around with some tech, as we think another laptop is maybe on its way out, he's gone through various expensive ideas and thankfully we've come to a free option by just switching ways we do things! phew!
    * Ordered a different size sim card as I've been making do with my phone but the charge isn't even lasting 3hrs now, we do have a "spare" phone that was being kept for ds1 to have when he starts comp in Sept but I'm going to have it now instead. My old phone will be used as an e-reader for books that we can get from our libraries ebook service (which is unfortunately not compatible with hubbys kindle)
    * Entertainment tonight is going to be a film from stash and I might open a bottle of mulled wine from the 2 I bought for Xmas that I didn't drink.

In not so good news, I've broken my tooth :( in good news, I already had a dentists appointment booked for Monday morning for a check up.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

    Evening all

Not much done today. Went for a walk with my friend so clocked up over 9,000 steps for bounts. Pleased to get an email from Field Agent to say the money I've earn doing market research has been transferred to the Task360 App and I'm currently waiting a pay out of £29.50.

Field Agent are under new ownership so you have to re-register.

Check market research - nothing nearby, FPL and check ipoll and eBay. Got a few watchers just need buyers!!

    Adios LP x
