((Hugs)) to all who need them, or who just fancy one. Bad luck, Kaz, on the job news. Good luck Mrs MP with what sounds like a difficult conversation to be had.
Bed stripped and bedding washed.
Bedroom, LR and kitchen floor vacuumed.
Kitchen mopped -finally.
Bins emptied.
Fed up with my GUAG now, so please help yourselves!0 -
Happy Wednesday to one and all. How are we half way through the week already?
I am in today, made a good start.
I am getting a bit het up over posting, there's loads of people I want to answer but don't know how to do the quote thing and the list? How do you do that and put lines through? And bold? I feel hopeless and I don't want anyone thinking I am ignoring them cos I am not!
DH on a late today not home till half ten. DD and I are having a simple and quick tea and watching a girlie film together and I am proper looking forward to that. And we will be doing that in a lovely clean sweet smelling room with fluffed up cushions and cosy throws....oh....and chocolate!0 -
Rosemary those patterns and the fabric are lovely - You seem like you're a lot more advanced with your sewing than I am but hey, we all have to start somewhere. This is what I'm doing - https://www.sewessential.co.uk/misses-tops-kwik-sew-sewing-pattern-4069 (sorry, don't know how to do posh linky thing so have to copy and paste
!
Loudmouth what film are you going to watch with DD? Nice to do that together isn't it.
Mrs-MP hope conversation goes OK when your phone goes.
Kaz I'm thinking we may have your ice - do you want it back?
Lynne I'm on half the drug as it is so only taking 7.5mg. Think I'm not as away with the fairies as I was yesterday but that doesn't say a lot!
Valli I'm scared to look at today's list now!
Just got in from over 4 mile walk with J and Whiz which was nice but legs feel tired now. Had a cuppa and think I'll just have a peep at the Level 1s that I haven't done from earlier in the week and see how I go. WM soon finished so that's 1 job and I really ought to do some ironing as the board is here all ready.
Got a real urge to crash on the sofa with Pip (JRT) and a craving for a big chocolate eclair - I know I can't have one of them .... these drugs are well known for giving you a raging appetite and the Dr told me even a stick would get fat on them so I'm well prepared!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Mumof2, she has not decided yet! I will have a look later find suitable ones and let her pick.
Don't be frightened to look at the list,it's not too bad today! And well done for not eating an eclair ,I would have done!
I am making a very early lunch as DD goes to work shortly after twelve. Oatcakes, bacon and eggs. Yum xx0 -
Sorry you have difficult news to share with your sister, mrs-mp. Big (((hugs))) to you both.
Hope you are feeling better today, LW.
Sorry about the job, Kazwookie. Better luck next time.
FBO, did your DH get his car sorted?I am getting a bit het up over posting, there's loads of people I want to answer but don't know how to do the quote thing and the list? How do you do that and put lines through? And bold?
If you want to quote up to 3 people, click the "Multiquote" button (speech bubbles next to "Quote") at the bottom of each message, and on the last one also click the "Quote" button. You will then get the "Reply to Thread" page with all the messages quoted in full. Edit them as above. Insert your answer to each individual by clicking at the end of their post.
Above the "Quick Reply" or "Reply to Thread" boxes there are toolbars with B for Bold, I for Italic and U for Underline. Just highlight the text you want to format and click the appropriate letter.
If you want to do the strike through you have to "Go Advanced" on the quick reply. Then it's the last button on the right - an "S" with a horizontal line through it. Again, highlight the text you want to format, then click.
Hope that helps
Another 2lb decluttered at SW yesterday - back below my pre-Christmas weight
College lecture yesterday evening was really goodNow I've got to knuckle down to another essay
But I have already done a typing job today and now I am going out in the garden for an hour while the sun is shining and the sky is blue, to cut off the dead hellebore leaves so that I can see the flowers emerging, and also get rid of some of the rotting Michaelmas daisy and sedum stalks. Indoor flying can wait until tomorrow.
DH managed a slightly longer walk (about 400 yards) yesterday and says he wants to do another this afternoon. His friend took him to model railway club for an hour or so last night, which he enjoyed very much.
Catch up later.... Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Hi All
I am in this week after a fashion, aiming to do all Level 1 around the paid stuff and pupst4er who is now called Archie and our older dog Bailey.
No sooner do I tidy and Archie finds something else to destroy, fortunately only his own toys so I then get kapok wars, chasing him around to get the bits out of his mouth.:rotfl:
Today so far I have WM x 2, DW x 1 and ironed for 2.5 hours.
Still got about 4 x WM to do, but I will get there.
I invested in the Lakeland heated drier through QVC and I love it, it is amazing jeans dry in 4 hours, my TD takes 2.
Also getting my hair cut/highlighted today, so need to get bottom in gear as need to be there at 12.
Hello to all the newbies, Flylady is not a thread on a forum it is a group of like-minded friends :A
Will check back later x0 -
Ionafan, thank you so much. I will try it out later.
The sun is shining here too ,trouble is it shows how dirty the windows are. The window cleaner is due anytime now so good . I am going to hang fat balls out for the birds today to try and entice them in the garden ready for our bird count hour at the weekend.
Back to fluffing my cushions! Laters !xxxx0 -

I'm not really all that advanced, just crazy! I've done a fair bit of sewing small items, not so much clothes. The first dress is probably no harder than the top you've linked, it just has 2 bits for the front and back instead of oneI'd love to see your top when you're finished - maybe we should dredge up the sewing thread though! The links - if you highlight the bit you want to be the link, then click the globe icon it'll give you a window to paste the link into. I don't often bother though!
Here's my list for later:
Wednesday wonders lounge and/or other reception room
Level 1
Clear the rubbish out
Vacuum sofas
Clean under seat pads
Fluff up scatter cushions
Level 2
Dust everywhere including skirting boards
Wipe sockets and switches and door handles
And all those places sticky fingers touch
Level 3
Hoover
Extras
S&S kitchen
15 minutes on pile demolition
Finish 1st dress (so close now!)
Start formal dress0 -
Ionafan glad to hear DH is improving a bit.
The car is limping along. The windscreen crack is growing and he's pouring in about a litre of oil a week. He's trying to only drive to the station but that doesn't work if he's on two sites. Just 2weeks today until the exam and he can go hunting for a new one. If all else fails, as of next Wednesday I can ferry him a bit more and at a pinch I can change my days so he can have the car rather than a lift if necessary. Just not possible until then.
Sorry about the job Kaz Fingers crossed something else comes along.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Hi all
Just having 5 minutes with a cuppa. Need to stir myself to get going on job no. 2 but motivation is lacking. House could do with a bit of TLC here and there.
Anyway, have been to job no. 1, been to the supermarket for a few essentials, had a general tidy around, made our bed, lugged DS1s laundry basket downstairs and chucked a load in WM for him, gathered up pots and put DW on, made a potato bake and put it in the oven with a joint of gammon and tidied the fridge.
On with job no. 2 now, gym class later.
Loudmouth my windows need cleaning too. I have one of those Karcher window vacs so doing it is a doddle. If only there were more hours in the day!
I need to be working ...0
