Good morning fly ladies. Well, I am ahead of myself, Before even reading the list for today I was in the shower and gave it a good going over and chucked all the empty out, and it problay was not a pretty site as I was naked! But hey ho, it's done. Will do the rest after I have been to Aldi for bits. Just checking my planner and whoosh, I am gone . Already made tonight's meal, lasagne so am really organised today.

Been good today - got a load in the WM, unloaded DW and remembered to put recycling out for collection. Just had a walk with Whiz; flippin freezing it was so we really stepped out. All going swimmingly until he rolled in rancid stuff so have given him a wash - luckily it was only on his neck and head. Bleugh.

I've printed off the pattern for a top I want to try to make today. J is suggesting I do a list of things I want to achieve today but that's a bit too focussed for me and I'd rather do my normal thing. Determined to vacuum and have a general tidy up. Feeling the benefit of drugs now and sleeping much better than I have for ages plus only have 1 thing in my head at a time instead of loads of thoughts mixed in with intrusive thoughts battling to be heard.

Freezing here too. Coldest day this week but the only day none of the cars are iced over. Go figure!

Been to DD class workshop, back home and starting an overall tidy and vac today - no point mopping as there are bound to be spillages tomorrow lol.

Just having my first coffee  ow have I managed, lol.

So, bit of an everything day for me, groceries to be delivered, bathrooms to S&S, laundry, rehoming, cake to finish, decs to put up (balloons ) and table etc to sort out.

I still don't have the black craft paper and red tissue paper I need for the first game!

Oh and I think mum is popping over later, so I've just wrapped a present for foster boy who also has a birthday tomorrow... The adoption completes next week. You'd think they'd bring it forward a week so the boys new parents could do his birthday for him. But no, it doesn't fit the "official timeline". Ah well.

  • I've bought craft and tissue paper packs from mrT in the past if that helps bossy, those colours are usually in the multipacks I've bought it depends how much you need. Shame you aren't close there's some under my sideboard now.

LameWolf I ended up crashing on the sofa with Whiz; Pip was snuggled up somewhere else. I'm taking Mirtazapine; have had it before and put on about half a stone with it. I know my Dad had prednisolone and he was permanently hungry. Why do these drugs make you so hungry I wonder.
Probably because by their very nature, they tinker with your brain chemistry, and the "appetite centre" (non-technical term there) is just one of the bits they can affect. They tried me on that one, some time back, but it really didn't suit me at all, and they put me back onto Moclobemide. Glad you had a dog to cuddle, anyways. x

Aren't dogs wonderful? :D Whiz probably though it was a fantastic new doggy "aftershave" :D

I agree with you, just concentrate on one task at a time, if you do a "list of things to achieve today" you'll only be cross with yourself if you don't reach the bottom of it. That's how I'd be, anyways. :o
If you do end up doing a list, don't make it a "to do today list, just a note of what you want to get done as-and-when possible, and aim for one item off it each day, or something like that.;)

Mr LW has been tasked with dusting the lounge - he was SOADFA; you'd think he'd have learnt by now, wouldn't you? :rotfl:
We're supposed to attend a CAMRA AGM tonight *yawn* so I need to conserve sufficient spoons for that.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Mumof2 Playing devil's advocate here, and I fully admit it is with my tutor's hat on, I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the idea of a list. I say that because if J is suggesting it, he is clearly trying to help and if you dismiss it, it is like you are rubbishing his ideas which won't do much for his self-esteem. Sorry if I am speaking out of turn here, but if a student suggests something I would always let them try, then it is easier to modify the suggestion if it doesn't work out. So LW's plan of making a list but not setting a deadline is a good one - that way you are valuing his input, keeping control of the things you may forget/not feel like, but you are doing it in a way which suits your own style. I hope that doesn't offend.

And talking of whippets, some friends have just got a 10 week old one. I don't think Mr N is too keen for me to visit it......

Thank you Narco and LameWolf. I ended up telling J what I wanted to achieve today without writing it down (OCD about lists - not meant to do them!) and I'm pleased to report everything I wanted to do has been done and more. I don't think you're talking remotely out of turn at all Narco either, I value your opinion. J got a second interview for that job in Wales - 16 days since the first interview so seems like they're not in a rush but good they haven't recruited anyone else. J seems noticeably more upbeat since I've been more chilled ... shame mine is drug induced but never mind! As for the 10wk old Whippet - OMG, bet s/he is gorgeous and no wonder Mr N doesn't want you to visit. Whippets do make lovely pets.

    Hi everyone,

I've done a lot of de-cluttering today and catching up on washing.

Everything is everywhere at the moment which is driving me insane, but will definitely be worth it once all the work in the house is finished. Just 4 weeks to go, it can't come around quick enough!!

Hubby is cooking tonight so I plan on not doing a lot. I need to clean the kitchen but that shouldn't take too long.

Hope everyone has a lovely evening.
