Any list is good Valli; personally I respond to the list as a prompt rather than the content!

Went to gym class this morning.
    Vacuumed all downstairs.
Put away a number of items that had mysteriously wandered to the wrong room/location.
Answered a few emails (do I want some more work, say the university. Tricky question.......am tempted to say yes as it is likely to be variable but will add to my pension pot and bring in money, but not sure when I will find time).
Done a bit more of a report.

Huh that doesn't sound much; how come it has taken up much of the day?
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Afternoon, I have poorly doggie, don't know if I should take him to the vets, he seems to have brightened up as the day progresses but had a bad night with him and I started crying, I couldn't bear it if something awful happens to him. So it is for that reason hardly any flying has been done today only basics. But the house is looking a lot better then it has been looking so am happy.
Last night I booked cheap flights to Amsterdam for a weeks holiday in Amsterdam during the summer holidays so spent over an hour looking for an hotel this afternoon.I felt guilty cos I kept thinking I should be sorting through my drawers! I will catch up in the morning.
Hope everyone is ok,and yippee it's Friday ,can njoy a lie in tomorrow! Xx

Well I've had a bit of a grocery shopping day today. Been to aldi, health food shop, sainsburys, local Japanese shop and had a tesco delivery! Last month I tried to do more monthly shopping and making meals in advance for the freezer which saved a fair bit of money and was so easy at the end of the day. Currently got a big pot of bologniase bubbling away (not sure you'll find the meat amongst all the veg in there :rotfl:

Have done little flying - stripped bed and need to remake. 1 load of washing done, need to stick another in. I did clean downstairs last night so it looks fairly good. This evenings entertainment is to make marmalade!!!

Hi cowboymum, I have been meal planning since the start of the year, it makes life so easy just picking my book up in the morning and look what's for tea! I now do an online Tesco shop once a fortnight and just pick up stuff n aldi if and when required. It's really saving me time and money. Mmmm marmalade , you are very productive today! :T

    Just back in from work
Hope the party goes well bossy, enjoy yourselves

Just rang mum, and put her in the picture about dad and the convo I had with sis so that she's aware of what's going on. I know they are long time divorced but he's still our dad and they were married for a long time. (A long time ago)
Going to get tea on and have a S&s round so house is tidy for weekend. I'm going to have a glass of something tonight as I deserve it. Bonus text to brighten the week and end it on a happier note is I'm possibly going wedding dress shopping with dd3 tomorrow as I've had a text asking if I want to do that.

Oooooh, stretchy fabric. Now that's advanced sewing. I'm still on 100% cotton.

Jazee it sounds as though you're living in chaos while all the work is being done. I hope you have heating and hot water back on again and it's coming together really quickly.

I've now got OH's cold and am feeling pretty out of it. Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with Fred this week, although I have been doing my daily five minutes as well as tackling the worst of each room. I'll need to buy a coal scuttle, although we don't actually have open fires ....
    Better is good enough.

I hope the poorly dog is feeling better now Loudmouth.
It must be the season, cowboymum... I've just got half way through slicing orange peel for marmalade as well! Had enough now, so will finish off tomorrow.
Hope the cold goes away overnight Honey Bear, and that the party went well Bossy.

Very little flying done here today, apart from the dailies. I will take Valli's Friday list and tackle something over the weekend. I have enough places around the house that need attention, so it shouldn't be a problem ;) . It's now raining and horrid out there, so I think the best thing might be to hunker down with a glass of something and shut out the night!

Party was good thanks. Rather noisy (boys) but all had a good time. Girls played beautifully - mostly dressing up and music / karaoke in her room.

Boys were mostly in the living room, I brought the other tv in so we had two consoles set up and they all took turns, all 5 of them wanted to make sure everyone got a go. Like I said, noisy, and a bit of wrestling (!) going on, but a really nice bunch of boys.

They even helped me bring the Guinea pigs in, and had really gentle cuddles with them, and I'd told them no shouting - and they all stopped! :A

Not too much mess, although I think MIL had a lot to do with that - she's even washed paper cups and plates :rotfl:

So other than a pile of balloons which might plague us for a few days yet, all I need to do is move the spare tv and the consoles back into the den. But I'm going to clean in there before I do.

Not too much presents either - mostly money and vouchers so he's well pleased with that.

Still no sign of the replacement football shirt.

Right, I will go get dressed and get DD off to dance class!
