Very jealous of those with sunshine - we have had thick fog and ice followed by slightly less thick fog until about 2 hours ago. Went as far as the corner of the road on a jog and decided that it was way too icy. So we turned back and had coffee instead - far more civilised!
Decided to clean the lounge ceiling lights as there has been a mysterious burning dust smell recently. Who would have thought that the "pattern" on the glass was actually dust and dirt?! And that they came apart so the glass could be cleaned?! They've been there since we moved in...10 years ago :o
Also set the timer for 15 minutes to try to sort out a cupboard in the bedroom which gets toiletries stuffed in it. I'm sick of things falling on my head. I didn't really get it sorted in 15 but at least it is slightly less of a hazard.
Off out volunteering shortly. DD supposed to be coming too as part of her D of E, but we will see....

    Hi Ladies,

I'm aiming to get the living room/kitchen sorted today. I'm current 34.5 weeks pregnant and my energy at the moment is nil, I'm so tired. It's frustrating especially when I have so much to do, luckily I'm off work until the end of the week so that should give me time to catch up on a few chores.

Hubby is on a late shift until around 10pm so thankfully I won't have him in my way .

Will post back to this thread to update, wish me luck!!

Fayolle I've had similar to that too with the lights - doesn't it all look lovely when it's done though!

Babes21 not sure if we've spoken but hi to you! Make sure you don't overdo it won't you.

FBO poor car doesn't sound too good at all - hope the 2 weeks goes by quickly for you.

Had a good day today; been out strolling around with J and he treated me to lunch then back and I had a lovely sleep on the sofa with Whiz. Since then I've sorted another load of washing and just done all my ironing whilst watching Last of the Summer Wine on Gold. J has done us a nice tea; kids still out and all is well with the world. I do like sedatives!! Going to try to sew this evening.

  • Hi all

I didn't get through all my list today but did manage to pull out sofa and Hoover under it, toddler helped so it took ages lol! Also cleaned the woodburner and threw a duster around.

The surveyor came two days early so it threw us out a bit but at least that's done now.
Hope everyone had a good day x

Got a real urge to crash on the sofa with Pip (JRT) and a craving for a big chocolate eclair - I know I can't have one of them .... these drugs are well known for giving you a raging appetite and the Dr told me even a stick would get fat on them so I'm well prepared!
Prednisolone or something similar? When they put me on that I wanted to eat anything that wasn't nailed down! Nasty stuff, imho. You can still crash oin the sofa with Pip though. x

LameWolf I ended up crashing on the sofa with Whiz; Pip was snuggled up somewhere else. I'm taking Mirtazapine; have had it before and put on about half a stone with it. I know my Dad had prednisolone and he was permanently hungry. Why do these drugs make you so hungry I wonder.

Morning all. Still haven't managed to do a huge amount of flying but very surprisingly my house looks really good! Made dinner for 8 last night which was lovely - most of the dinner was made in advance and so there was very little clearing up which wed id last night. V organised! I have noticed that as the house gets cleaner and de junked, that many of the walls need repainting! Lots of jobs for my DH in half term I think!

Morning all. Hope you're all ok. Just the minimum done here again this morning. Workmen have already arrived. So far this week the kitchen, bathroom, downstairs loo have been gutted, new gas pipes put in, rewiring done including for mains smoke detectors in HSL and now the plasterers are in.

House is covered in dust, but there's only so much tidying I can do at the end of each day.

    Have a great day everyone.
