I also would suggest ebay with a sensible reserve price in place.
If the car is well listed, photographed, with service history, all paperwork and on a long auction it will be seen by the right buyers.

A car like yours is sent directly to auction to most main dealers who rarely touch anything over 5 years and in most cases prefer them younger than that.

If yours is the cheapest it will attract those with the smallest budgets and if its a BMW then you are in for even more fun and games than if it was a volvo or a kia.

You cant expect a well heeled banker or dentist to call up and ask for your car. Its a desirable badge approaching the end of its life with some big bills potentially.

On the positive side at least you are getting calls. Lots of posts on here from people not getting any calls at all as they have priced them over the odds.

That's why I said you have to take a chance on the damage to your own car BUT not with TP damage which is why you need to check the purchaser is insured to drive other cars.

Third party damage would be down to the driver.

I don't let buyers drive my cars I take them for a test drive. I demonstrate all its features and faults if any. If they want anything unusual, emergency stop etc I am happy to oblige.
I take potential buyers for a test drive too but, provided I feel comfortable with them (and I have never had someone I didn't think was genuine), I will also let them drive with me in the front passenger seat.

I am aware of the potential risks so I ask them to bring proof of identity, address and insurance etc when the come to view the car. Nobody has ever refused that.

Maybe I have been lucky but I have never had the slightest problem with test drives when selling a car.
