Concerns about new build
Comments

We had originally thought about getting Plot 124 for that reason - because there isn't another house immediately across the road from it just a wall and pavement. But, even then, its probably more likely to get a car or so parked there baring in mind that there's no house.
Do you intend spending your time staring out of the front window?0 -
David and Thrugel have you seen the photograph?0

If the people opposite have filled their double garage with junk and therefore put two cars in their drive and two in the road, they'll have to get rid of the junk won't they!
Maybe they're just being lazy and taking advantage of the situation before the site is fully occupied?
The legal blurb about the new build I am interested in is very strict about only parking in your own spaces / garages and not on the road or so as to annoy anyone else.
Will there be a Management Company when the site is finished?0 -
Yup there is a management company after the site is finished they are charging £125.00 per year for the owners of all of the houses on the site...
Do you think that they will do something about the parking? To be honest, there isn't a lot of room to park on the pavement - there's regular drop downs for the drives, so, it will cause a problem for pedestrians.0 -
-
The problem is them being there. Parked half on the road half on the pavement outside their house which is directly opposite mine.0
-
This is a problem because...they're obstructing the pavement? They're obstructing the way into your driveway? You don't want to be able to see your neighbours' cars? The problem is them being there. Parked half on the road half on the pavement outside their house which is directly opposite mine.0 -
All of the above

But, mainly because the street looks messy!
Also because reversing out of my drive is going to be that bit harder0 -
Reverse into your drive? That was a joke.
Has your road been adopted yet? If they're parking over dropped kerbs they could be committing an offence and you could ask the council to send round the friendly local traffic warden.0 -
In hind sight we should probably got one a bit further down the road but then again the interiors were not as nice... so damned if you do and damned if you dont
i wonder if anyone else has bought a new build and the management company have done anything about the parking?0
