Not Responding

Techie guys assistance required (again).

I keep getting the dreaded 'Not Responding' box whilst trying to load pages with Firefox. As if that isn't enough I'm also getting 'unresponsive script' messages. Is there anything I can do to reduce this constant nuisance?. I'm still using Windows XP which is no longer getting updates and this old PC is not compatible with anything newer.

: Avast (free version). Internet connection 'claims' to be 100mps.

internet connection speed can be found by doing a web based speed test or looking at the router statistics

There are so many of the things. Personally I wouldn't buy anything with less than 4GB of RAM.

But if you were going to buy, I would sift through and try to find the best.

Expect to pay from £35 to £50 for a machine with Windows 7 upwards and 4GB or RAM. Some may even have a WiFi adapter chucked in for free.

It would be a world away from what you are currently utilising. You must have developed such patience.
