People keep repeating the word "fraud" ..... Do me a favour .... This over the top scare mongering is what will stress the OP0

Also ,check that you can get travel insurance, as some on other sections of this forum, had problems getting insurance, even with certain conditions to be excluded from cover. (Any cover refused or extremely high quotations.)0

The OP will not be caught. Just go.0

Exactly ... classic case of people trying to create drama for the OP when there isnt one.0 -
Still an offence not to report the change. If everyone claimed an extra two weeks benefit because they can get away with it, we would be in an even worse state.
If you ring them, they will suspend your benefit whilst you are away and then reinstate when you get back, less the two weeks.

It's very interesting that those most vehemently against DWP and there alleged elective use of facts are the ones telling the OP to commit fraud.Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j0

I want to know what job you have where you can take 6 weeks continuous leave?
Not that it is any of your business what my job is but i am fortunate enough to be able to either buy more holidays or take unpaid leave or carry over 2 weeks holiday from this years entitlement. The sort of perks you get when working full time for the same company for 16 years!0 -

On balance, and given muddled responses you have received I think it may be riskier to tell DWP you are going away, rather than staying stum. Why ? Because the DWP appear to be leaving your OH alone .... keep it that way.
Thank you. As i stated originally I am not trying to claim anything he is not entitled to just simply trying to find the easiest way with minimal stress to do this. And yes the DWP have left him alone for a few years but this does not mean he has improved if anything his condition has deteriorated0
