Hi

Several people I know have bought these DNA test kits just to be sure that they are indeed the daddy. The kits are on many chemists shelves and sell for about 30 quid and not sure re exact cost but another couple of hundred to find out if you are indeed the daddy.

I heard a call into a radio show as I was channel hoping and the man said that up to 30% of daddies may NOT be the biological daddy but they assumed they were

A few years ago a major retailer/chemist started stocking these kits on shelves and now selling in their tens of thousands of pounds Have you or anyone you know carried out a secret test? If so, what were the results and were they prepared for it?:(

NB: " 50% that took the DNA were not the fathers."

Why is there no option for what a stupid question?
    No I haven't considered it.
No I don't know anyone who has.
    Definitely haven't done it.
    And wouldn't fear the results.
There again I am a female...
Shame your troll posts all revolve around cheating, you're clearly a very hurt, suspicious individual.

    WOW, dude!
You know several people who think their kids might have been fathered by someone else?

Maybe it's time for you to change your circle of acquaintances, I'd say.

Clearly you have trust issues - just go live on a desert island then problem solved... no one to disappoint you any more.

    From the link you supplied:

Nichola McChrystal, founder and scientific director at BioClinics Group, said: “The statistics are within the realms of what I would expect, due to the fact that I have worked in this industry for well over a decade. I would imagine that they would appear shocking to the general public.

“However, it is important to understand that the families approaching BioClinics for answers generally have good reasons for raising the question of paternity.
    [My emphasis]

Don't make the mistake of thinking that the 50% figure applies to the general population. The price of the test would probably put off people who are just curious - most people paying hundreds of pounds to check would be fairly sure there was another potential father out there, so it makes sense if around 50% of the tests confirm that the 'daddy' isn't the biological father.

    Hi

That was not a nice thing to say to me or anyone for that matter.

People with "trust issues" can't be helped by going to a "desert island."

Sadly, too many people will pass judgement on people just becuse they may not have expereicne such truama!

This is an open forum and anyone can post their experiencnes feelings here and should not post in fear of been belittled.

    :(

    Dear friend

I despise that kind of tv circus as it takes advantage of the less able in our society. I've watched the odd few seconds and years ago I watched about 30 mins of just to see what on earth people were talking about as it was unreal. The tv show/circus makes me cringe inc the host.

The people that go on it, I sincerely and very honestly feel really, really sorry for them.

I am a caring and passionate person and love to help people. Many times I have seriously considered becoming a samaritan but work and family commitments inc running a home/business do not allow this.

Forums like this enable people to speak their minds/thoughts without fear of being ridiculed/etc

And people who disagree with you should not be called bullies

Perhaps the next poll you set up could offer a "couldn't care less option" please.

Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

Seriously. Take a look at the way you relate to other people on this forum before you call anyone else out for the way they speak to you.

Some of the comments made to posters on that other thread just because they didn't agree with you were a disgrace.
