I have a nokia N70, initially on a 12 month contract with 3 mobile, last year I never updated the handset but locked myself into another 12 month contract for £5 a month. Just phoned today to ask how much to unlock my phone (my contract with 3 runs out on the 24th April) anyway they quoted £15 !, I told them I would get back to them, but i've just called them to give them 30 days notice to end my contract.

    so 2 questions

    1. will 3 now lower the price the unlock now that i'm ending the contract or after the 24th April?

    2. Is there anyway I can unlock it for free now?

    Hi,

Looking to use my previous handset for local use in NZ with a SIM-only deal when I travel there shortly.

Tried to unlock my phone using www.unlockitfree.com, but phone returned an 'invalid code' message with 3 of the 7 vales provided (#s 1, 2, 7). No SIM inserted.

    Phone: Nokia 6310i
    IMEI: 351110201049006
    Network: T-mobile

Does this model need the new network SIM to be inserted first?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

    Rgds,
    Ian

Thanks both Baldhead & Browntoa, but I've just tried the code you suggested and it's still coming up with 'Code Error'. Any thoughts, please?
