you must of read the bit about the 1 & 7 codes on the 1st post. afaik the 7 code clears all the locks, but im not too sure

it is unlocked otherwise it would still say restricted
it is the same code that you would get from orange and entering another code wont make any difference.
it sounds like it has a software fault (not uncommon) and needs an upgrade.
how old is the phone? as you may be able to get it done under warrenty
what s/w version has it got on it?

Aww man, sorry to be a pest (I have done this before with another phone and your wonderful help )

I don't have the original sim card, does this matter? The phone has no sim in it and says insert sim. I tried to put the code in and nothing happens when I press the hash key???
