4 mobiles in the family

Myself, my wife and two daughters are all on contracts with EE (the only provider with decent reception in this part of deepest Shropshire).
Is there a way to combine all 4 contracts to save us a bit of money? None of us are on particularly expensive deals but it is currently costing me nearly £150 a month.

That's £37.50 each. That must be paying for phones too ?

    EE Sim only are expensive.

Virgin and Plusnet both do sim only are use the EE network.

Try White Calling. Also uses the EE network. PAYG, Free calls and texts within network and also free voicemail.

If you mainly call and text each other, this will really bring your bill down....

Are the contracts SIM only or include a handset?

How much data and calls do they use per month approx? If it's a low amount then switching to EE PAYG might be much cheaper.
  • Virgin do 20gb data unlimited texts and virgin to virgin calls for £15. That will cost you £60 a month for 4 4g Sims on their top package. This deal ends soon though.
Im on 2gb for £9 a month which is plenty for me.

    They aren't really.

Unlimited minutes/texts and 12GB of data is £19.99

Additional lines on the same account are discounted.

So the same unlimited minutes/texts and 12GB of data as additional lines is £16.89

This is on their top speed band which includes EU roaming calls, texts & data and BT Sport app access.

I've just moved our family of 4 to BT Mobile's family sim, on a sim only deal. Paying £55pm (incs. £5pm discount as already BT customers). We all have unlimited calls and texts and 15GB of data each. Coverage identical to EE as BT own EE.

But of course missing the roaming inclusives, Visual Voicemail, WifiCalling and 4G Calling.

If you aren't a BT customer then £70 direct with EE vs the BT Mobile £60 offer is probably worth it, even if just for the WifiCalling.

They are for the lower end of the packages.

Have you seen how much they charge for 250Mb sim only ?

For less you can get 500Mb or more elsewhere.

Their PAYG is 40p a minute (maybe more!)

My family of 5 all have EE sim only deals. When a contract runs out I call them up and tell them what I can get elsewhere, and they usually match it or drop the price as an incentive.

Currently paying less that £100 a month for all 5 contracts, with silly amounts of data to use, unlimited text and calls.
