I have some of those little pots, they are a bit too small to be useful for main meals. I tend to do desserts in them, which is helpful otherwise I eat too much sweet stuff.

I did find some ice cube trays with lids in £land the other day. I got one to store my 'bulk' roux in I am going to make.

Yes I keep food trays etc. too from the rare time we have a takeawy or ready meal they are so handy. I've looked at the the wee Jane Asher pie dishes in Poundland and think they might be what I'm looking for - don't want to pay £5 delivery though so need to wait until I can get there. I love Falcon enamelware have loads it's just all familiy-sized :)

I recently bought a couple of those Jane Asher dishes. Not keen on the colours personally - but they are a pretty useful size.

Thanks, no the colours are really not too my taste but good know they are a useful size at £1 ago I'll compromise on loathing for garish pastels (though I don't think I could live with the pink ones so not me :rotfl:)

Thanks for the feedback it was the unlidded Jane Asher oval ones I thought might do - I had a look online and the measurements seemed ok but I'd like at look to see incase they are too big. I've got a teeny-tiny lidded Le Cruset casserole (it was a gift) it's too wee for anything really but looks pretty on the shelf it's had some chutney in it once I think. :(

I have 3 of those bought in an amazon black friday mad moment :) they are gorgeous you're right but basically useless apart from dips and pickles.

Ah. I think I'm not over-keen on the cutesy pastel shades really. I prefer bolder colours in the main.

I'd go with the mint one if I had to buy one.

What I love about Poundland stuff is there are many small things that you want, but only for £1.... and they have them :)

I bought a spud masher the other week. I've no desire or need to spend more than £1 on one of those and now I have one :) I was quite happy before doing it all with a fork.

I bought a dinner plate for £1 too. Perfect price.

At £1 there's not much decision-making required.... can't go too far wrong unless you get addicted.

I think I did too... has it got a plastic lid, with a flap (is that to fill them with?) ... and little silicone bits at the bottom of each cube area to pop them out with? If so, I've got that. Not used it yet, but for £1 thought it worth getting one in.

I need lolly moulds; I've got one but it's the wrong sort... so I am looking out for the right sort, for £1 of course.

One thing it's harder to find is "small 5-6" baking dishes with lids" (at a reasonable price of course.... anybody could find one for £20 or so).

I've eaten a whole drawer of freezer food since Xmas.

Just been through to drag the final bread roll out ... and realised if I jiggle things around they'd all fit very tightly into the 1.5 other drawers.

Although I didn't actually squeeze the 4 fruit juice lollies and bag of oven chips into the lower shelves ... it's enough to know that "I could if I wanted to".

So I've now got one whole drawer empty :)

    That's made my day..Congratulations PN :T:rotfl:

Fair enough apologies ...there have been quite a few people on here over the years who just want to push the limits lower and lower and I always worry there may be someone vunerable reading it and think well if they can do 12 I can do 10
