Just had a toasted cheese sandwich (in the george foreman) with a side of bargain Christmas nuts they were selling off cheap.
That is the kind of tea only a single person can get away with
Another thing I only get away with being single as its cold here as well so I am wearing my dressing gown over my clothesI don't care, there is not one to see me
PN what do you have in that you can heat up that doesn't take any cooking as such? What are you wearing, don't answer that publicly :rotfl:but lots of thin layers are better than one thick item. Do you own any thermals? you can get them cheaply at Primark. (another advantage of singleton - wearing thermals)
EDIT - just checked my temp gauge its 18 deg C and I have had the heating on since 3pmpitfall of living in an old house!

For small dishes I've got quite a selection. I mostly cook in the microwave, so, over the years, have held back quite a number of dishes from shop-bought microwave dishes, of varying sizes. Most of those are the same shape, so stacked together, means I can always find something the right size. I've also got oodles of microwave cooking options, I've 4 of the "lidded/vented noodle bowls" and two of the "lidded/vented soup mugs" and I've two Pyrex jugs that get used every day in the microwave for something or other.
For actual oven dishes, I picked up three little dishes, one about 5" square and two about 5" circular, all for 99p at the 99p shop. I've also got, for £1, a small lidded pot that's probably 4". I was also bought a small Falcon pie tin for larger things.
My little oven takes a MAX of 10", so those are ideal.
I've another couple of little round dishes, one I grabbed when clearing mum/dad's house that I used to make stuffing in and there's another round one too.
I've also kept a couple of aluminium foil trays from past quiche purchases, which sometimes get pulled into use too.0 -

Whats the problem with dressing gown over clothes? I do that all that all the time ...should I feel shame :rotfl: I even go to the outside bin like that ...shocking eh :cool:0 -

The answer depends on how much you're paying
I'm currently in jeans, T shirt, a fleece jacket I wore when I went out, socks. Feet on the sofa under a thermal blanket topped by a sleeping bag.. which is how I usually am.
Right slob ....
Generally I wear big fleece-lined leggings and a big T shirt - I only wear "proper clothes" when I go out. It reduces wear/tear and reduces washing/drying of clothes required
I've also got a hot coffee and turned the heating on.
I'm in the south, where it's "warmer" and the house is new, so well insulated. I won't die of cold0 -

I've looked at the the wee Jane Asher pie dishes in Poundland and think they might be what I'm looking for - don't want to pay £5 delivery though so need to wait until I can get there. I love Falcon enamelware have loads it's just all familiy-sized
A store opened up near me, so now it's handy... I've been looking at those JA lidded pots for over a year and deciding they're not for me, they're actually too small in reality to be of any real use.
A couple of years ago I saw some lovely little "mini le creuset" style lidded pots that were in some great colours. They were in the 99p store and I wish I'd bought 1-2 of them.
I sometimes think about things too much and walk away, then "miss out"Or did I ... I'd have probably just enjoyed the look of them and never actually found a use for them.
