    No.

Stuff that needs to be eaten in the next 3 or so days are:

Coleslaw - I'll have some with a burger later, but there'll still be some left.
Orzo - once was enough .... warmed up it'd be less appetising than it is cold. I have about 350 grams of that left. I went wrong with that when I made/mixed up the whole lot into a salad... should've just made one portion and left the tuna/sweetcorn mostly unmixed, then I could've made a sandwich with it instead.
Spud salad - I like it, so don't mind eating it sometime in the next 3 days.
Couscous - wasn't keen on that when I made it ... not touched it at all yet. Was going to "use it up" in small spoons for a few days. Don't really like it to be honest.... but I had it so it needed using up. I'll never, ever, buy it ever ever again (after I've got through the 500 gram bag which will take 2-3 years).
The sweetcorn left over from when I opened the tin to mix with the orzo will be tossed into the freezer, so that's easy as it's quite small.

Tomatoes are fine, only 2 left now and they'll last 1-2 weeks more.
Grated cheese isn't a problem, I've always got and always eat lots of cheese.
Eggs aren't a problem, they've still got a few weeks left and I've been getting through a lot recently.

I think I'm just crest-fallen that having made some effort as the sun came out .... it's gone again - and, while I don't mind "a bit of salad", I'm not really a salady person. Given a works' canteen with an option of "fill a container with anything you want from this salad buffet" -or- queue here for pie/chips ... I'd be all over that pie/chips every day :)

20 years ago I worked somewhere with a subsidised canteen - they had that arrangement. £1 for a 2 course lunch.... big salad buffet you picked/chose/served yourself.... or the hot stuff. I probably had salad 2x a year and hot meals the rest. Ditto with the cold/hot desserts options, I probably chose a cold one 20x a year and 200x I had the hot one.

Nice array of salads PN - depending on what you've already added to the cous cous you could turn it into a hot dush with some chilli and tinned tomatoes with grated cheese. Or if you really don't fancy it feed it to the birds they love it:)

Definitely much cooler today, in fact I think I'll need a cardi if I'm gardening as it's shady out the front.

I'm sort of hanging about waiting for my meat delivery so limited in what I can do outside as if I'm out back I can't hear the doorbell. (If it actually rings because it's very unpredictable...) I should be doing housework as I've guests at the weekend but will keep that joy for tomorrow so it doesn't need re-doing. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it;))

Breakfast was the usual toast with fruit and a glass of orange juice. Lunch will be a piece of baguette with cold meat and salad and I've taken a pork chop out of the fridge for tonight which either have with spuds and veg or with noodles and veg. I'll see what I fancy later :).

OH saw the potatoes I'd done and said he'll make potato salad on Friday, so that takes 400g out of the equation; already portioned out and on his practically bare shelf of the fridge. Typical OH moment that as he's of the lazy 'I'll just bung some noodles in the microwave/pizza in the oven' kind of cooking for one for himself. If I make something in my rice cooker (potatoes or white rice) he sees it as easy and will try and get in on it, haha. Still I have potatoes for potato salad today and tomorrow.

I've cooked up the rice and I'll be having curry with rice for lunch and not dinner today as we are going out. The potato salad will be going with me so I'll have something to eat! Nothing lost there, just a slight change swapping lunch and dinner around is all.

Still I opened a tin of chickpeas, portion for today and tomorrow in potato salad but then not quite a portion left! May open another tin on Saturday add it to that one and blend it into houmous. Seems the most sensible option really as I have everything if following the cheap family recipe, i.e. no need to open the tahini for it :p.

So coffee and water so far today.
Breakfast: may have some soya yogurt and fruit later.
    Lunch: vegetable curry and rice.
    Dinner: potato salad.

As we are going out to a pub with friends later I'm likely to have a couple vodka and lemonades tonight. However I will ensure to drink plenty of water too.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

I NEVER feed the birds. They already hang around sh1tting on my car, the patio, the fence, the shed roof, the house roof, everywhere. Little barstewards. It's unsafe to sit outside!

Also, feeding birds encourages rats - and I've had those and have spotted one this year.... caused usually by a neighbour with chickens and aided/abetted by the neighbour who feeds birds (although luckily she's now moved)

If you've got rats you can't open the patio doors ever!

Every day I've got birds strutting round on my lawn including two large pigeons, two smaller pigeons, a few seagulls the size of small dogs, huge black crows, 3-4 magpies and then an assortment of small ones - also up to 200 seagulls flying over en masse 2x a day.

I just had a random stroll around Sainsbobs, coming away with nothing. I'd have liked a doughnut (30p) but not 5 (65p) and I refuse to be short-changed just for buying one ... so left it.

They have stopped selling the £1.80-£2.30 pizza I occasionally bought from them, so I'll be getting any from 4ldi in the future, or just sticking to making my own by topping naans.

Could've picked up a pack of baked beans, but couldn't face queuing etc just to buy one item.

I looked at their squash drinks, nothing exciting/new/different and I've already got 1.5 litres in the fridge so no need to buy any, so I didn't.

So I left without buying a thing.

I understand this. We live near train tracks and last year obviously the works they were doing disrupted the mice living in the area they had been living in. Cue mice finding their way into our flat as well as neighbouring flats. Now I've had pet mice and rats in the past. However they were invited, wanted, loved and most importantly definitely disease free! It took us ages to get rid of those little b@ggers. Thankfully that looks to not be a problem anymore so the back door can be opened on days like this without worry of more making their way in. I do look for signs of them still though, just incase.

Glad you found a solution to the spuds and got your rice:)

I find if I feed them it stops them devasting my veggies - no issues with rats thankfully. I think if you watch where you place food e.g. don't scatter the birds are pretty savvy at getting it all.

My extension design includes a stable door ... not for "poshness", but so I can have the door open, but safe/closed :)

It's nice having a door flung open if you're in a room .... but not if there's a danger of something furry creeping in!

For lunch I opened the spud salad box, not a lot in there (just a spoonful) - and emptied about half the orzo/tuna salad into that ... and then dolloped some big spoons of hot chilli relish on top. That's got through some of it. The couscous will be the hardest to stomach....

    Hi everyone.

I'm another one sat in waiting in for a parcel caronc. I did manage to get out to the supermarket early this morning before my neighbour went out, so that she could take in the parcel if it came.

Breakfast today was some porridge. I don't know why, or what I was thinking (or not thinking) at the time. I just poured it out of the packet and put milk in it and then thought to myself 'why have you done that, you don't want porridge it's too hot for porridge'. By then I had to make it and eat it or waste it. :(

Lunch was a tuna salad sandwich and some salad.

We have just had a thunder storm which has cooled it down nicely, so tonight I am going to have a lamb rump steak, grilled tomatoes, steamed veg and new potatoes, for a change from salad.

I have had a choc ice this morning, and I have some creme fraiche that needs using up so will defrost a crumble from the freezer to go with that :)
