Those bargain bags of salad spuds last for ages though. I use them to make spicy wedges (with a bit of a fajita seasoning sachet) or for potato salad for a filling work lunch. Easiier to judge portion sizes than with a baking spud.

Made Anzac biscuits for the first time last night (halved the recipe quantity so as to make enough for office snacks for the week); ridiculously easy and very tasty.

There is nothing wrong with leftover pizza for breakfast, one of my favourite breakfasts, so easy, open fridge, grab pizza, eat :D

Did you have the pizza and the ham/egg/chips in the end or just one of them?

Just had the pizza in the end, peak CBA arrived so planned the H / E & chips feast for tonight, but plans have changed since Asda mooch this morning

I know what every one means by spud overload, I also bought the Lidl spuds on offer, still have some but I find they keep for yonks in the fridge, gradually whittling them down. If not boiling them [and then leaving them forlorn & forgotten in the pan :o] I scrub and bung them whole in the Actifry, sort of posh round chips, must be healthy 'cos still got skins on

One more banana used from the 20p bunch, this lot are not as black as some I've had, thus the make a banana cake to avoid wasting, or in my case waisting them, is not niggling at me. See what I did there?

Normal Asda mooch this morning, needed milk as it happened anyway. Something seems to have happened at Asda, or my one anyway

Loads of in date salad veg reduced, not YS, just slashed shelf edge prices everywhere. Perhaps they believed the lying weather forecast of warm & sunny and ordered loads of salad stuff?

I picked up, all 25p each, punnet cherry toms, 3 sweet peppers, red /yellow / orange pack, tray of living cut & come again salad leaves, and spring onions, YS at 12p. That's me sorted for salad

That lot changed tonight's planned ham / egg / chips to ham salad, probably still with chips as I have been infected with habit of salad cream on chips and it should go well with that meal

Of course I could use some of the bargain spuds but much easier to open the freezer

Lunch was bacon lettuce & tom sandwich

All very healthy fresh veggie today, but weather is really pie & chips with stodgy suet pud & custard type of weather, even put my gloves and woolly hat on this morning

Lunch was a plate of various salady bits which was tasty despite the fact I managed to get beetroot juice everywhere.......:o

Dinner I think might be an easy freezer dinner of haddock, oven chips and peas :D

    Afternoon everyone,

After yesterdays mega eating session I don't feel much like eating today.

So no breakfast, I couldn't face anything. Then I decided to have my main meal about 3.00pm because I didn't fancy lunch, so had some plaice, salad and new potatoes. I have had a greek yoghurt since then and am just planning on having a couple of crumpets later today. I think that is all that I will fancy today.

The only problem with this, is that I had planned on using up some veg that is looking very sorry for itself today for dinner and I really don't fancy making soup with it. Hopefully I will feel more like eating tomorrow and will be able to use it up then.

Caronc - the photos are gorgeous, I hope that you are ok.

Probably not unless it was tiny due to my mobility problems. Elderly pooch was fine with the odd short walk by my son or nephew but I couldn't exercise a young dog properly and I don't want to take on an old dog :(

Get a robot - they look quite realistic these days ... a one off cost, no vets, no food, no kennels, no walking, no insurances ... brilliant!

    I've been attacked by tomatoes!

I've made a tomato roll. Just marg & cherry tomatoes. Slicing the cherry tomatoes in mid air ... one squirted everywhere... and, later, eating the roll, I suddenly sprayed tomato juice/pips everywhere :)

I know the feeling I got "attacked" by a jar of beetroot earlier - place looked like something from a bad horror movie. I'm still finding splatters
