Breakfast was nutra-brex with almond milk that I soak over night.
Lunch was at work so fruit (3 portions) with a home made cashew nakd bar.
I had a huge pot of coffee when I got home, so tired when I finish a Sunday shift, and the last of the punet of blueberries I had as a snack.
Dinner, well yesterday I put the last kilo of those cheap potatoes from Lidl in my rice cooker, yes seriously I still had/have them left. I had 250g yesterday and 250g today. I had that with the second portion of vegetable curry, the other half of an avocado and the last of a saladix bag. Bet you can't work out what I had yesterday for dinner.
I'm planning on shepherdless pie tomorrow for dinner to use up the rest of the potatoes, mashed with skin still as didn't peel them and can't be bothered to try to get the skin off them. I am getting sick of potatoes now! Hoping that having them as part of my favourite dish will help.
Good to see you back. :)Why not slice the spuds to top your pie and brush oil, that way the skins will go nice and crispy and it'll save the washing up from mashing;)0 -

Oh I have to admit that sounds good, kinda like baked potato skins. Also yes about the washing up. May not be a single in the home sence but less washing up always a bonus - no dishwasher so all by hand.
PicturesNew - not that near an Aldi, bus ride there and back. However got two of the Lidl bags. OH said he'd eat a bag so of course bought two. However he changed his mind and I refuse to waste food if I don't have to. Saw me changing my meal plan to suit. Still have a sweet potato left from when they had those on offer too in the fridge, it weighs 660g so that's a minimum of 2 meals. OH said he'd make wedges with them all. Yeah until this one was left and doesn't feel like them anymore! So yep muggings me has to work my meal plan again to accommodate that. Like working out what I can do with the food I eat so plan according for isn't hard enough, he then sends me curve balls. I found myself subbing the potatoes in place of rice. Curry and potato is nice but when you had it in your head it would be rice it just isn't the same:(.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -

Bought all manner of things I shouldn't have (chocolate trifles, bag of chocolates).
But I did buy some random food that worked with some stuff I had, so I could chuck it all into a bowl and say "Ah, tea!"
So I've just eaten: a scotch egg + some cherry tomatoes + some small/whole pickled beetroot + grated cheddar + a boiled egg + a packet of crisps + a buttered bread roll.
That sounds like a good meal to me, the sort of thing that I like sat in front of the tv.0 -
I had a banana for breakfast, but HollyH's porridge + cream one would have been more tasty, at least it was not the LO half cold pizza from yesterday, that delight is reserved for dinner tonight, but may change my mind and have ham / eggs / chips, depends, may even have them both The CBA meter is near max at the moment
There is nothing wrong with leftover pizza for breakfast, one of my favourite breakfasts, so easy, open fridge, grab pizza, eat
Did you have the pizza and the ham/egg/chips in the end or just one of them?0 -

I took DGS to Maccy ds today, at his request. Got him a happy meal, n me a veggie burger meal, but the bun tasted of pure sugar
I hate that place anyway
His Mum, my DD is moving house, so gave me a bag of just otd veg, so that's me sorted for this week
I know what you mean about Maccy ds, I'm pleased to say that I have only ever been in one twice in my whole life and that was when my niece and nephew were younger. Now they are 21 and 18 and hate the place.
I find that a lot of white rolls/bread in those sort of places are too sweet for me and I have a sweet tooth.0 -
I've a pork chop out for later which I'm going to griddle and have with steamed charlotte potatoes, asparagus and a mushroom/mustard sauce. Definitely my kind of CFO dinner not much by way of prep or clearing up and looks/tastes as though you've made a bit of an effort. The remaining wine from Friday will be enjoyed or else it really will spoil;)
That sounds like a lovely dinner caronc. I love asparagus and the mushroom/mustard sauce sounds really nice. Do you think it would go well with chicken?0 -

Yes it does - I make it by frying mushrooms & garlic in the same pan as I cook my meat in. Take the meat and veg out add a slash of vermouth or white wine or a little chicken stock. Add a couple of tablespoons of water and a tsp of whole grain or djon mustard let it bubble until mainly reduced. Add a spash of cream pop meat & veg back in the pan for a couple of minutes.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Toast and cottage cheese with tomato consumed for breakfast and I'll have the last of the bite sized pork pies for lunch with salad. No idea about dinner as I've friends popping by early evening with their pup to pick up my pooch's toys so will be something quick and easy.
The sun is still shining but it's not as warm today but hopefully I'll get a wee bit more done in the garden this afternoon.0 -
Eaten nothing.... there's the final slice of bread, 1/3rd of a pot of beans and 2 eggs in the kitchen .... which is probably what I'll eat because it HAS to be eaten today or tomorrow at the latest. So best get it over with.
Then I'll be out of bread and eggs....
You can't win. No foods ever dovetail together when it comes to them ending.
Not bought spuds either, as I had spud overload last week.
EDIT: Ah, Plan B. Having cracked the eggs, I opened the fridge to discover I'd already used up the final 1/3rd of a pot of beans yesterday. So it was 2 scrambled eggs on one piece of toast.... and the final squirt possible from the brown sauce jar. Out of brown sauce now .... except what I might be able to scrape from the sides if I remove the lid and get a knife out0
