Are you lot on diets? We'd slipped to page 2!!

    :)

I've nearly finished the bag of chocolates I bought 2 days ago (I think it was two days) ... and added a small chocolate trifle to my day's intake. And I finished off the crisps I opened at lunchtime.

    No not me :D

I just had to try the new flavour of rhubarb and orang shortbread rounds that M&S have just introduced, and I am happy to report that I really like them, but I had to eat 6 of the 9 in the packet to make sure.

Also, they have got the scones with bits of strawberry in that they only stock in the summer and of course I had to buy a couple of packets of those for the freezer but had to try one with double cream and jam this evening before I put them in the freezer. Just to make sure that they are as nice as last years.

This isn't to mention the two slices of peach and apricot cheesecake that somehow slipped into my basket as well. But in my defence they are in the fridge untouched.

I do get exited at the new summer flavours. It is nice to be able to get some different things :j

I nearly forgot. I bought 3 large bars of chocolate as well today. One orange, one mint and one bar of white chocolate, but they are all in the cupboard. Don't know how long they will stay there for though.

    Good morning everyone,
I've still got chocolate left from Christmas  and no not because there was a mountain of it I just don't tend to go for sweet stuff if I'm munchy. Crisps, nuts etc. well that's another story.......:o

I managed to make just the right sized portion of sausage casserole last night so no LOs to use up:D.

Today I'm having crumpets for breakfast with either cheese spread or lemon curd. My friend made the curd and I like it because it's quite sharp tasting. I've a splodge of marie rose sauce left from yesterday so will probably hard boil a couple of eggs and them with the sauce and salad for lunch. Tonight I'm making tandoori chicken, I was going to make a veggie curry to have with it but I remembered I have some spicy cous cous in the freezer so will stuff a pepper with that to go with the chicken. There will be LOs be they can be lunch tomorrow.:)

Good morning beautiful sunny day here though the wind is quite sharp.
Bought a mini greenhouse fro Wilkinsons for £10 its tiny and will just fit in an odd corner that I have. Will get that up today if I can.

Really need a freezer sort out, Seem to have filled the both up again. Mainly with left overs and YS. Have taken out a pack of two Hake fillets bargain at 25p. Was thinking fish pie but seems a waste so maybe steamed with new pots, green beans and carrots.

Something with salad for lunch maybe ham omelette.

    Sunny here too!

I'm out of so many "easy staples" it's tough .... I've no bread, no crumpets, no muffins, no eggs.... all of which I'd have headed for for breakfast - instead I grabbed the spud salad I made yesterday from the fridge, grabbed a fork and stood there beside the fridge eating about 12 chunks randomly ... then put it back in the fridge ... because you can do that when you live alone and you're not sharing food :)

Lunch will be that spud salad, with a burger - just because I can't think of what else I could serve spud salad with :) I'll toss a few cherry tomatoes on the side too as I have them ...

    Later ... who knows.

Confession: Popped out this morning ..... bought ANOTHER bag of my favourite choccies :) I'm up to 3 bags/week I think.

Didn't enjoy the crisps I bought last week, it was an 41di own brand pack of six, cheese/onion; I think I prefer Walkers, although even they're not the same as they used to be! Ate all six bags though, as you do.

    That's a GREAT start.... what'll you have later? :)

I love hake especially baked with a crispy crumb topping made with some chorizo crumbled through the breadcrumbs. I had it like this in Majorca and was smitten with cooking it that way, if you've no chorizo some paprika through the breadcrumbs works well. Drizzle with some oil and either grill or bake.:)

I like chunks of smoked sausage or hot dogs with potato salad:)

More choccies  I wish I coud lob you some of my stash and save you some cash ;)
I'm generally not that keen on cheap crisps with the exception of Tesco Value Ready Salted which I really like. I can't have that many cos of the salt so even better it's a small bag (18g) so win win:)

But I've got a burger in the freezer, I don't have hot dogs and have never had smoked sausage. I have thought of picking up some tins/jars of hot dogs in the last 2-3 years, but always felt daunted by the fact there are 6-8 in there and I wasn't sure I'd fancy that many over 3-4 days.

You can freeze the hot dogs if there are spare ones. I like the smoked sausage you get in the horseshoe shape, they have a really long use by date. Worth keeping an eye out for if you fancy a change.:)
