Late lunch was the last of the chinese chow mein and chicken in batter - and I made some curry sauce to go with that and polished off the last of the prawn crackers. That easily did for three meals in the end.
You certainly did your takeaway justice :D- the prawn crackers would never had made it that far if I had them....:o

Breakfast was a toasted muffin, 2 scrambled eggs and 1/3rd of a tin of beans.

Mid morning and it was the last muffin with some chocolate spread on it.

.... but I've nothing that springs to mind as being available, so I bet a cheese triangle gets a look in... on its own as I've no muffins, no crumpets, no bread at all.
I could just fancy a muffin right now.
I've run out of muffins, crumpets and bread as well, I've only just realised that I forgot to get any when I went shopping. Seeing your post has made me remember to put it on the list for tomorrow though :)
I hope that you managed to get either one or all three at Aldi.

You might just need to make some pancakes or scones then...:);)

    Evening all,

Today I have had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, a crumpet for a mid morning snack, and a chicken salad sandwich for lunch, with a nice dollop of mayo on the side. For dinner I have had a lamb steak with roasted Mediterranean veg, mushrooms and some potato wedge. Pud was greek yoghurt and berries.

I think tomorrow I will probably go on a freezer dive for one of my pre-cooked meals for dinner to have a bit of a break from cooking. I am meeting a friend in town for a wander in the morning and we usually go and have a sandwich for lunch, so that will mean that all I have to do tomorrow is a quick breakfast and some veg to go with dinner. If I do that before I go out it will be a nice easy day food wise.

Your meals today sound lovely Holly :)

One can pick and pick again from that.

When I can re-direct focus onto my garden shortly I must get some of that again...

Last night's dinner (still thrown-together standard) was 3 sauted vegetarian sausages (ie quorn), some cold leftover boiled potatoes with mayonnaise and some tomatoes. Followed by a banana.

Oh well - it filled a gap..

I did run (well, drove) to A1d1 after my last post. Got a loaf of bread, two YS corned beef crisp bakes and a bag of sweeties (pastilles).

Came home and made 2x toast + chocolate spread. A bit later I had 1x toast + chocolate spread.

Today's plan was to have one of those crispbakes with some mash and beans .... and I'll have to do the same again tomorrow as I'll still have the 2nd crisp bake, I'll still have half the mash I make and I'll still have that final 1/3rd of a tin of beans.

"Breakfast" today will probably the last of the eggs and a slice of toast. Out of eggs, but didn't pick any up last night because there'd be too much pressure then to get through that pack.... so I do give things a break to stop that constant pressure of getting through things that dominates what food you can eat today.

I'm officially out of beans though now ... I've been holding off buying more beans as I have now chosen my preferred beans, so need to get them from a specific shop (Sainsbobs reduced salt/reduced sugar, 4 pack). So I'll pop out at some point in the next couple of days and stock up on two 4-packs.

Stuff in the freezer's simply still not being eaten in the main. I should have a poke around in there to kill some stuff.

Was fancing pilchards on toast yesterday but had no bread and thought I was too late for Asda reduced, I only use bread for toast so wont pay full price, then saw your post that Aldi were still open, like you I thought it was 4pm closing, so I checked and they were open till 8pm. Walked down and there wasn't much left in the ys but got a couple of packs mixed salad at 5p each and a loaf I had not tried before at 35p, lol I only usually pay 10p but it was the only one left. It was Burgen soya and linseed. Oh My its the tastiest
toast I`ve ever had. I usually just regard toast as a carrier for whatever I put on it but this is in a class of its own. Just had another couple of slices with banana for breakfast.

Burgen soya and linseed is my favourite sliced loaf and that is a bargain for 35p.

At normal price the cheapest place I've found to buy it is Iceland at £1, pricey for a loaf but well worth it imo.

I only ever have it just toasted with butter as it is so tasty, but it makes great sarnies too :)
