    I like M&S burgers.

I think I'll stick to defrosting the salmon before cooking it!

I went swimming and then to Waitrose, they do thai marinaded chicken in their 3 for £10 range but the last two times I've gone specificially to get some they haven't had any. Today I went just to get some other bits and they did have, I was really annoyed that I left money off vouchers at home, so I didn't get the store cupboard bits on my list.

I did get a 19p bag of stir fry though.

And some yellow stickered but still expensive salmon terrine slices. They were nice though!

ps, why is it posh to eat well? :) I don`t understand that, I have never smoked and hardly ever drink or go on holidays, so I eat the best way I can and consequently am very healthy. I also listen to my body and when it says rest then I rest. I am a scientist and I know what my body needs and I am what I eat. It is a genuine question :) and seems that eating well should be even more important as a single
It's the bit about having the disposable income to afford the finer things .... it's not posh to eat them, it's posh to be able to afford them and have them as a regular food and not a "once in a lifetime" item.

There's also the "risk of waste and how important that is" - if you buy something alien and HATE it .... too risky to do that and do a lot of work and sit there with no food, starving ... and a plate of inedible nasty food you don't like. You spent your money, you chose, that's your lot.

I'll admit to smoking rollies .... but I drink half a cider/year and haven't been on a holiday for 20 years... a week in a flat in Cornwall. :)

My "eating out" budget/year is £10-20 ... and I'll be spending £5 over the weekend from that budget ...looking forward to that.

This month's a biggie .... council tax to pay, car MoT, car service, car tax, car insurance.... so I deserve a treat :)

Today I've had a piece of toast with chocolate spread on it - and for tea I had one of those baking spuds (2 more to go!) topped with a mixture of red/white onions, sweetcorn, red pepper, chilli pepper, pepperoni and cheeeeeeese.

Lovely sunny day here so was able to get in garden and sow some seeds. Also prepared some salads to store in fridge. I love salad but its a faff just to do one so I I do three at a time.

Went to Iceland to get chicken breast £2 500g. I got four packs so a few quick meals there, 16 actually as there are 4 portions in a pack

    Evening everyone

I was at physio today which seems to have taken up most of the day so not much by way of CFO happening though did treat myself to a late cooked breakfast of bacon, mushrooms and toast before I left as I knew lunch wouldn't happen:) Still debating what to have tonight something easy as I'm pretty unsteady so either a "here's one I made earlier" job from the freezer or a "something" and oven chips:cool:

    I'm stuffed today.

Breakfast was yoghurt, coffee and mango fingers.

Lunch the smoked salmon terrine and a danish.

Tea a barnsley lamb chop and butternut/tenderstem tub of microwave veg.

And I had a smoothie of beetroot, celery, and apple. Instead of water I put a cup of pomegranate white tea, which seems to have cracked the 'how to make it tasty' puzzle.

I also went swimming, from next week the prices are going up from £1.60 to £2.10. I know it's still ridiculously cheap but it seems a big hike.

That sounded "cheap" to me.... so

I just checked here (never been, got no cossie) .... £4.50. Then there's parking, probably another £1-2. For "everything" that's there it's £40/month... so they can forget that!.

Then I checked where I used to live - that one's £4.30 plus parking.

Swim for 1 hour or eat for a week! It doesn't stand a chance does it.

I've just scoffed a bit of toast with some chocolate spread on it :)

I am feeling energetic and well, so will continue separating carbs and proteins, anyway I like eating something often, rather than all in one meal
freezer waste-nots for breakfast: sausage and blackpudding with added tomato. Won`t be replacing either meat. Hm muesli (no wheat or nuts) soaking for mid morning snack

Nut roast and veg for lunch, with purple sprouting, kale, parsley, fennel, celery spring cabbage, all steamed together. Hm cake slice later. Later afternoon, frozen berries with kefir and yoghurt and little agave. Whizzed. Yummy treat eaten with a spoon and am eating more berries this way

Last meal, peanut butter on hm sourdough. Probably at 5.30 and then nothing except water to next morning
