  • Morning all! I have been reading but not posting - a glitch with my phone, and severe shortage of time in what has been a bonkers, surreal, and at sometimes devastating week. No sleep at all on Friday night with worry over somebody else, although outlook much better on Saturday, phew. I haven't had a 'cold sweat, tossing and turning' night like that for a long time. Gave myself some TLC yesterday but still had three important papers for work to write. Not looking forward to peaking at them later to see what state they ended up in, though they got done, of sorts!
Glad folk are recovering from lurgies and setbacks, wishing ally all the best with the process, and so impressed by some of the money saving coups!
Can anyone point me towards the cashmere jumper/glove opportunity?

    My DFW actions today
    • Just accepted A1rb&b bookings for a few nights, including tonight. Glad as this has been slow recently. Just requires me to blitz the communal areas: [STRIKE]kitchen, [/STRIKE][STRIKE]bathroom, [/STRIKE][STRIKE]lounge[/STRIKE] and [STRIKE]their room[/STRIKE] this morning.[STRIKE] DD sleeping in so I'll aim for all tidying shortly, then run around with the hoover when she gets up.[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]I am sleeping in guests room at the moment (its warmer) so just need to swap bedding to another room, and put fresh on for them.[/STRIKE]
    • Necessitates a small top up shop today - a shame as I shopped yesterday - but not for much. Will check cupboards first! Have a small stash of change that should cover it. Have checked - most from stores, only need fruit juice. Should probably keep a few in the cupboard to make things easier next time.Going to pick up tomorrow as today turned out to be a NSD :)
    • I have three papers to write today too but no enthusiasm for them. Will try and do one after cleaning so it doesn't remain an untouched job all day. Feel I need a early night! Didn't happen. Thats my [STRIKE]7pm[/STRIKE] 8pm :( task then!
    • Out for lunch, but planned spends. Treated by folks..and parked on street nearby instead of in car park. NSD :)
    • Need to transfer [STRIKE]cash to mortgage account. [/STRIKE]gulp.
    • [STRIKE]Minimal ironing required tonight[/STRIKE][STRIKE] to prep for week ahead[/STRIKE]
    Good luck everyone with everything!

Crazylady sorry you had a sleepless night. It's awful when you feel that torn up about something.

    Well me today.

I had to go and do a few hours cleaning at the business as some bits hadn't been done in a while with Christmas etc. Cycled off into the rain at 11am, & cleaned the bathroom and kitchen ahead of the next party coming in.

Whilst there had yet another rubbishy stressful experience, which left me wondering if I'd have to call another professional out.. then my chain came off really badly on the way home and it took me about 15 minutes in the pouring rain to get it back on. I have had my fill this last week. Anyway moving on....

Sorry Bob, you seem to have had a daytime version of my night. Lets hope the week ahead is smoother for all turtles :)

    Additional efforts today:
    • Ironed last few things after I'd turned the iron off. I always think of foxgloves when I do this.
    • No meals needed tonight - too stuffed from lunch and afternoon snacks at a friends
    • Free afternoon out - playing cards at a mates house.Kids & Grown Ups all loved it.
    • Useful wombled goods from the parentals
  • Hi all

Had a bath this morning as there was lots of hot water (we have a very old heating system) so it was cheaper than the electric shower. Let my hair dry naturally because we weren't going anywhere.

Made soup for lunch and a roast for dinner, lots of chicken left for sandwiches.

FVD I have things that I should ebay too but I really dont enjoy doing it. I have listed some curtains today, hope they sell.

Bothered by my sore throat and really hoping I dont keep waking up feeling like I am choking tonight, its horrible! Very sleepy already, dont think I will be late to bed.
  • Evening :hello:
Well, it's been a partly lazy day. After clearing out the fridge, I decided to use up the sorry looking carrots and see if we had enough in for a roast dinner, which we did. So I prepped that and finally got round to marking the books I'd brought home.
Other than that I stayed in my jammies, did a load of crochet and haven't moved too much from the sofa. Also bagged a nsd as well - happy days.

Sorry to hear that LP. Perhaps this will be a wake up for him?
