A Ditherer's Diary (again)

I've been into our mortgage account and renewed the ones that are coming to the end of their fixed rate. Going from 1.69% to 4.09% 😩 but it will be approx £50 increase a month.
Also going to look at switching gas & electric. We're with BG and on standard variable rate.
I've bought a new tumble dryer as ours died earlier this year. Went through Topcashback with Argos. The same machine & model number was £20 more expensive with Currys.
I'm not sure if I'm more excited by the tumble dryer or the garden office coming. 😂
My purchases on the 0% card total £3145. I'll be paying a minimum of £100 a month and throwing some overpayments at it to clear it in time.
I think I need to revisit my budget planner and make sure it's up to date as I've not really done it for a couple of years. 😱
Been to Aldi this morning and shopping came in at £99.
Roll on Thursday...payday!2 -
Well done for getting the shopping in under £100! That's got to be a win.
Happy new tumble drier.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

If I shop in Aldi I'm usually under £100. I've saved so much by leaving my beloved Tesco 😂1

Our Aldi doesn't have a bakery (thank God!!) But the Lidl does. I have shopped in Lidl but prefer Aldi. I usually do Tesco once a month for bits I can't get in Aldi. I shopped there last week and it was £130 for far less actual food.
15yo has football today. She scored a goal but also got absolutely clattered 😫 she's had a nice bath to try and relax everything.
After football I went into our local town. It's M-i-L's birthday soon and F-i-L asked me to get her a dressing gown. Ordered one from M&S so went to pick it up. Also got her three books from The Works and some chocolate marzipan. I've bought her a lazy susan from Ikea so she's all done.
Whilst I was out, I treated myself to a coffee and cake. I've not bought a coffee out for ages. Came home and had a two hour nap as I didn't get to bed until 2am last night as dd was at a party.
20yo can't home from work and made sausage rolls. Had them for dinner. Delicious 😋1
