At least you've spotted the trend @Naomim - that's the first step to changing.  You're doing brilliantly and well done on being brave enough to download the statements! Love Humdinger xx

Thanks @Humdinger1 I've been threatening to download the statements for ages but never get round to it. Still need to find the time to actually sit and go through everything.

We usually go out for a meal when it's someone's birthday. DD's was this week and mine is next week but I am forgoing my meal out as we had Nando's for DD and as I was saying, we really need to reign it in.

Just plodding to the end of the month now.

Just made my last Tilly Tidy for October and declaring £33.41 for the month. I'm very happy as I definitely missed a few days due to being away.

It's tucked in my savings account as we need to keep building it back up after spending on the office.

Had a lovely surprise today as I was named "star of the month" for my team at work.  We earn points which we can spend online at a number of sites etc. I'm saving mine for Christmas and might see if I can gift the kids something.  I also have about £30 in my Topcashback account that I'll take out for Christmas too.

I've started the Christmas shopping as I've bought tickets for Mr & MrsM senior to go and see Caleb from Clarkson's Farm as he's playing a local theatre. Money transferred from my pot. 👍

No plans for the weekend, need to do a food shop and move the desks into the office.

Congratulations on the award and your Tilly tidying. Bet you can't wait until your office is finished, it's going to be so cosy, might  get my hubby to build me one then I can escape from him and the kids 😅 but considering he's useless at DIY, think I'll have to come up with another plan 🤔

Oooh, awesome alert 👏😊 Well done.

I will fascinated to see how the house changes when you move the desks out and start working in the office 😊

A quick post as I'm about to go to bed.  I was going to go up 10 mins ago but saw 20yo has washed his uniform but not dried it so spinning it again to get dry for the morning 🤦‍♀️.

Had a £25 PB win. Only 2nd one this year but not going to complain!

Tomorrow is my birthday, day off work and looking forward to a McDonalds breakfast 😋

Thanks! Enjoyed breakfast then I took myself off to the British Museum for a wander. I  always do something like this on my birthday. I love history, palaces, museums etc but sadly my family don't share my enthusiasm. This way I do something I want and have a lovely day. We had a Indian takeaway to round off the day.

Have had a couple of bits to pay out for 16yo at school. A poetry day at the London Apollo and two days kayaking for her PE gcse as she needs three sports and only had football & netball.

I've also booked her in for a free trial at Explore Learning tomorrow morning to try and get her a pass in maths. And we completed a 6th form application this week. My baby is growing up.

I'm back to give myself a pat on the back. Apart from loving history, I'm also into genealogy but it's an expensive hobby. Last November I signed up for a free trial with Find My Past then forgot to cancel. They charged me £199 for an annual subscription 😐. I've made good use of the subscription but have just remembered to log on and cancel before it renews. 💪
