Took 16yo to the Explore Learning but she decided it's not for her, which is fine. The centre is in Sainsbury's though so I did my shopping and spent £150 😱😫🫣. I'm normally about £90-£100 in Aldi. I did buy laundry detergent & conditioner plus Heinz soups but that's still not made up for the £50 extra.

I have the evening to myself so I'm thinking of maybe a cinema trip. Odeon do a screen unseen so you don't know what you're going to see, it's a pre release but tickets are just £6. I haven't been to the cinema for ages. I used to have a limitless card and go all the time.  I always seem to tired in the evenings now.

I'm the same today, went to Asda and spent £173, around £50 of that was on some pressies for Xmas but I've been so good recently keeping my budget between £80-£90, sure they've bumped all the prices up ready for Xmas.

That cinema deal sounds good, may see if they do them near me. I'm tired in the evenings too but feeling a bit restless tonight, think it's the excitement of Christmas 🎅🏻

I've only bought one present so far and that's for the inlaws. MrM wants to get a pool table for the kids. I think they're too old and it'll be a 5 minute wonder but there's no dissuading him.

Checking in, hope everyone is doing OK in the lead up to Christmas 🎄

We got the pool table. 😕 I kept asking MrM to wait but once he has his mind set on something, that's it. It arrived on Sunday. To be fair the kids love it but I do think it's going to be a novelty.

Last Thursday I went late night shopping. I only wanted Primark for the kids pyjamas and bits. It's empty in the evening and was lovely.

My inlaws gave me £50 for my birthday and whilst perusing the deals on Boots I saw one of my favourite perfumes was reduced to £49 so I got it. 16yo had used all mine 😢

Payday yesterday. We had £98 left in the account so I split it three ways and paid £33 each to savings, credit card and mortgage overpayment.

My car is booked in next week for it's mot & service. MrM is moaning about bad timing even though I keep telling him it's all budgeted for.

    Hope everyone is doing ok.

    Hide your new perfume! ;)

Mr N is moaning about bad timing when he's the one who's plunged in with both feet into the pool table purchase ...? Forgive me for chuckling somewhat ... ;)

Nice to have excess to be able to split meaningfully 3 ways :)  How much is left on the CC now?

what KK said about MrM's "bad timing" moans! Here's hoping the pool table is still as popular by the time christmas actually arrives, eh!

I know. He's a pain in the ****  but at least the pool table and car maintenance is saved up for. My only consolation!

@KajiKita 16yo got perfume for her birthday so I won't be happy if she pinches mine!

Credit cards currently at £15,428.00 so still on their way down. 👍
