Didn't manage the grocery shop as had a mad busy day working. Planning on going to Aldi first thing. Only problem is they open at 8am. Does anyone know if they open the doors early and tills open at 8?Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again2

That's a shame, it's only up the road but can't guarantee I'll get it all home and put away by 9am when I'm supposed to start work. At least I can go to MrT's early.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again1

Went to MrT's this morning. Crikey it was expensive! Will definitely be A!di rest of the month if I'm to stay anywhere near in budget.
No PB wins for me this month 😫. I've been online and updated my banking. All looking ok to stay out of overdraft although I know we have the rest of the month to go.
Going to get 17yo some headphones for his birthday as he lost his and uses mine. I took them this morning for shopping as I listen to podcasts as I walk round and he was moaning to MrM about having to go to college without them. MrM kindly pointed out they were actually mine. 🤣
Taking a friend to ikea tomorrow as she has no car, she's taking me to Costco. Hoping to pick up some more booze for my birthday on Nov. Win win.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again3 -
Oooh Costco, I’m very jealous. I used to love going there. And ikea too! I used to like the little food shop in IKEA, all those marabou chocolate rolls and strange buns and biscuits 😋Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

To be fair it is a bit like Gulliver’s travels and finding everything giant sized, so I never dared buy a cake or anything fresh 🤭 I used to get bulk pet food when it worked out cheaper, the odd pair of Levi’s, that kind of thing. It will be perfect for your party booze. I was watching ‘the secrets of Costco’ on nflix (because I’m sad like that) and a few stores let you sign up with an aa card! But oddly not all of them. Sadly I’m much too far away now, so I’m looking forward to hearing about what you get!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Oh my...oh my.... I spent £219!!! I got some laundry liquid and a giant tub of vanish. A huge pack of mini pastries and cookies 😳 a massive pack of fresh burgers that I'll split into 4's and freeze and a huge pack of chicken mango & lime kebabs, which I'll also split and freeze. Two boxes of Koppaberg ciders, a box of large bottles of Corona, a bottle of Tia Maria for MrM and a litre of Absolut vodka. Finally a pack of 48 AA batteries.
Also spent £40 in ikea on a few bits. My poor emergency fund will need to be raided.

Would it be worth freezing some of the cookies and mini pastries so they don’t instantly vanish?
