    I do have BUPA through work and they granted 20 sessions but I just can't find anyone taking on patients at the moment. I know part of his MH is caused by grief over our dog passing. They were especially close and was quite a traumatic experience for him as he witnessed it. The other was his first realtionship break-up.  He tends to overthink things. Even as a very young boy I always said to MrM I thought he could be prone to depression when he's older. He always sees the negative in everything. Luckily I have worked really hard to have a good relationship with him and he does talk to me. I might not have all the answers for him but at least he has an ear to bend.  I'm sorry your boy has also been suffering.

    Long time, no see..... have you tried Kooth for the teenager? One of the HT's friends was recommended it by her doctor when she was depressed. The HT split with his first partner late April after 18 months together and is now on various dating sites. One minute he says he's staying single, the next he's on the phone chatting to someone on the phone from one of the dating sites then in the blink of an eye he is miserable and his life is over. It's hard to navigate so you have my total sympathy.

    @CRANKY40 I remember being a complete mess when I broke up with my first boyfriend and I guess first love and all that, when you are super charged full of hormones and experiencing these emotions for the first time is a hard time to navigate. I just don't know whether there's more need for MH care now as kids suffer more or are just more open to the need for help and not suffering in silence and being active in getting help.  I will have a look at Kooth though. Thanks for the recommendation.

    Today has been a bit of blurgh day for work. I have no mojo today. Probably lack of sleep - hardly any last week and now MrM being poorly. It means I won't be in the office this week and that makes me sad as I actually really enjoy my two days in there.  I would do more but MrM has to be in his office 3 days a week which leaves me two as we have to look after doggo and can't afford doggy daycare. Although I am about to look into it for one off days as sometimes there's no choice for both of us to both be out or when we do want to do a family day out. 17yo doesn't always want to come with us but he also can't be guaranteed to be up before 1pm at least!

    Talking of doggo, she has come on leaps and bounds, still chewing things as only just 10 months now but is great with recall in the park. Not perfect but pretty good, and has certainly learnt how to say hello to other dogs. Sometimes she can run up to them a bit fast but at least now it's a nice hello rather than leaping all over them and trying to bite the scruff of their necks or tails! She's also not jumping at people so much which is a bonus 😁 We can go out and leave her for a couple of hours without her screaming the place down and I can now get upstairs without her trying to leap the gate. She has learnt I go upstairs and come back down. We're waiting for her first season to start which makes things a bit tricky. Her sibling who my friend has is in the middle of her first season so I'm hoping it will be soon then we can start to make arrangements for her neutering once the hormones have dissipated.

    @Naomim good to see you posting; completely understand 'lying doggo' for a while as waves crash over your head! You are doing so well facing up to everything rather than retreating into a castle in the sky.  Are there any budget- friendly treats you could give yourself as self care is essential.   Your devoted admirers eagerly await your news when you have a min and feel up to posting.   Love Humdinger xx

    Glad to see you back @Naomim. Nobody can do everything! I find working, cleaning house and cooking is impossible to do to a high standard. There is always a tip in the scales as you do something and something else drops. I’m sure these perfect people can’t have jobs 😬
    I second budget friendly treats….a nice bar of chocolate, a glass of wine and a good book or film (loud film, to drown out poorly husband sounds?) would do you good.

    @Humdinger1 @WinterWarrior

    Thanks for the welcome back 🙂  For me my treat is reading and tv watching.  I occasionally get 99p kindle books, and do use the library. There's nothing like getting lost in a book. I've also just started watching The Walking Dead.

    MrM is feeling much better and tested negative today which coincidentally is his birthday and our 21st wedding anniversary.

    We're off work tomorrow and Monday. We had planned a day at the beach tomorrow but I cancelled our booking for parking because of MrM. 😷

    I need to go food shopping tomorrow so will try to get to Aldi early with a list.

    Been watching the news. It's all so depressing and although our mortgage is fixed I know I have to revisit the budget as so much has changed. Hopefully I'll find some time over the weekend.

    Keep safe

    Oh Naomi it's good to have you back but I'm sorry to hear things have been so rough for you all.

    I completely sympathise about the "house is a tip" thing - I'm there too right at the moment and it really does get me down so I get where you're coming from. I think I'm going to try to set aside 15 minutes when I first get home this evening to just do a very quick blast round with a bin bag and putting things that I can immediately see aren't in their right places away too - then hopefully it might feel a bit less overwhelming to tackle a bit more tomorrow...

    Hopefully MrM is now on the mend fully and you did manage to get a day out somewhere for his birthday/your anniversary!
