I echo the others comments re you posting again, its great to see you back around. Sorry it seems like life and hormones are throwing you some curveballs! I feel you on the blast from the past, sometimes it is feels like the solution especially if your feeling meh to begin with. I have been there it was also a first love and re-connecting. Nothing ever happened either, but it always felt like they knew what to say to give you some resemblance of feeling better. I hope that you can start to feel better soon, like others have said we all aim to be MSE as we can but right now your focus needs to be you :) Take care of yourself.
  • Glad that you’re starting to feel a bit better with the medication. The free prescriptions is a good bonus too (and I was surprised that it covers everything, not just the thyroxine!)

Feel free to drop me a DM if you ever want to vent about the thyroid stuff - I have a lot of experience 😬

Hey glad you're back - and that your health issues are getting attention and medication to sort. I'll echo the others saying beware of the hormones and the effect they can have on things - and also the suggestion that it might be a good idea to get yourself into a position where you feel a bit more "you" again before making any decisions or even deciding that it's all a disaster and can't be rescued/put right. It might be that you do need to make changes - but at least getting first the thyroid thing, and then the hormones back into line again before you make any solid decisions means you'll know that you're making rational ones!

Thank you for commenting everyone. At the moment work is my savior. I love my job even though it's very demanding at the moment, I put most of my energy into it.

Last night and today I've swept the kitchen and front room floors, washed up and folded the clean laundry downstairs. I'm going to try and do a little at home everyday as the mess drives me mad but also the whole knowing it needs doing and being resentful I'm  the one doing it all.

I mentioned we are going away in July. We started with a dog walker and home boarder back in March but last week she let us down saying she couldn't do it as doggo is still a handful. Doggo has been neutered now so a bit calmer but she's still only 19 months old and still very enthusiastic! We've now booked her into a doggy hotel (sounds better than kennels). MrM is really going to miss her as he's her person.

On the plus side, I won £50 on the pb's. Not had any wins for almost a year 😕

They really are few and far between @ladyholly I haven't bought any for a long time but the £50 was re-invested.

Just looking at the credit cards this morning because I need to adjust the payments so I am overpaying the minimums but the apps don't give this option. So sneaky! They want me to call but I don't always keep the cards as I don't use them.

Also, I was using the EMMA app to track my bank accounts and credit cards but I just logged in and now you have to pay to have them, for more than two accounts so need to find another app that might do this.

My MONZO account now has the ability to track your mortgage so I've added mine. It might be a bit counter productive as I find I keep looking at it and thinking ooh I could over pay a little bit. Really I should be concentrating on the credit cards and getting them down and back to interest free.

I'm so angry with myself that I was going great guns and knocked £10k off then completely stalled and basically knocked nothing off and paid interest in the last year.

If anyone can recommend a free app where you can see your accounts and credit card balances, let me know please.

Oh I am still doing a little bit of tilly tidying. Not really clearing the accounts at the end of the day but I did set up the rounding on my joint account and my monzo. So far I have about £650 saved.

I know I could put it towards the credit cards but I'm keeping it as an emergency fund. The way my MH has been the past few months and how unhappy i have been at home (perimenopause) I thought it might be a good idea to build a running away pot so it's in there.

I am still building my monzo pots though and they are working well. Last year I renewed all our passports, not cheap in one go! So now I have a passport pot ready for the next ones. Luckily it only needs about £3 a month so not to much of a hardship.

13yo will be leaving scouts at the end of the year. She didn't want to move up to Explorers so that will be another £35 a term saved.

I've also been through the bank account and updated my spreadsheet with our dd's. Found a Spotify subscription I don't know about. Need to check with 17yo. If it's his he can bloody well give me the £10 a month as he's working part time!
