Hi @Naomim,
Glad to hear you have the boiler sortedJust in time for winter! I have also fallen off the Prolific bandwaggon which is a shame as they do build up really quickly! I am going to log on tonight and try do a few days a week ....Maybe we could have a survey off as we are both starting at £0

@Lookafterthepennies2020 a Prolific comp! Excellent idea although I started with £3.87 from where I'd last left it. Hoping to get upto at least £5 by the end of the week.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again1

Checked Quidco and TCB accounts. Nothing on Quidco due to pay out, I think I withdrew it earlier in the year but TCB has £119 in there. Usually it's saved to put towards a meal over Christmas so may do this again.
Haven't been to the bank yet to cash in those £2 coins. Planning on doing that on Friday as the plumber is back on Thursday to finish a couple of small things and 11yo is on half day as her school closes for the open even for new parents to look round.
Also remembered the sofa payments finished this month so can add £45 somewhere. I'll probably top up the EF and my car maintenance pot and not reduce the payments to the credit cards. Still wondering where my October statement for Barclaycard is. Not showing on the app. Might have to actually log in the old school way to the website and look.
Also not updated YNAB for a long time. I think I need to do a "fresh start" (again! 🤦♀️) Good job this year is free as I had the student status.
There's also quite a lot of Tesco Clubcard vouchers on my account so I may have a look at deals on there and see what we can get. Might have a nice meal out of that too!
It's a lovely sunny day here today so I have washing on the line, hopefully If it's not fully dry by the end of the day, I'll plonk it on the heated airer for half an hour to finish off. Meeting my eldest friend for lunch at her house today, she always does a lovely lunch, such a treat and I get to make a big fuss of her soppy dog!
Hope everyone has a good frugal day.
Naomim

I have had Prolific running in the background all day and nothing yet lol...Have you had any trouble with Quidco lately? Whilst I have been on a spendy spiral the last few months I was still using Quidco, but so many of them don't seem to have tracked at all so I have had to raise claims
I can't seem to stick to YNAB for some reason, I have actually paid for it this month, going to give it 2 x month's and knock on the head and stick to spreadsheets soon if I don't get my head in gear!
Lunch sounds great, enjoyPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.220 -
@Lookafterthepennies2020 I wonder if prolific is good for me because I haven't been on for a while? I've hit the magic £5 so have cashed out!
I've not really used Quidco for a while so can't report any problems. I seem to prefer TCB at the moment although do check both to see which has better cashback.
I also struggle sticking to YNAB, but also struggling sticking to a spreadsheet too so need to make one of them work! I think I need to spend some time watching tutorials instead of the "UK bad drivers caught on dashcam" or "Karen's that go mad" that I get sucked into. (Apologies to anyone called Karen reading this!)Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again1 -
🤣 and now we’re all off to look for mad Karen’s and dash cam bad drivers (sorry Karen’s). I get sucked into frugal shopping and cooking ….in America! Am I ever going to follow the deals in target or dollar tree? No! Am I ever going to crock pot a meal for a family of 7,8,9? No….but there I am watching away!
I have some lovely spreadsheets, but I have an awful habit of rounding up spends into a one amount ‘tidy up’ instead of coming clean on what I spent it on….Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I'm loving the dashcams and some American Woman called Kendall something or other who does real crime posts. I lost hours at the weekend. To be fair, most of the mad Karen's are American.
I love my spreadsheet too but it doesn't really keep me in check like YNAB does and I'm sick of seeing red minus figures. At least on YNAB some are green for a while and it tells me I don't have enough money to spend on something useless.
I've set my Monzo pots to round up into a separate rounding pot but as that's just my personal spending account, not much goes on in there! £61 to last me until payday in two weeks.
