Got British Gas coming to quote tomorrow. Got a guy from a local plumbers and the number for another on the Surrey Trading Standards recommended suppliers. Hopefully a shiny new boiler will be in soon. We've had to take apart a fair amount of the utility room to get to the pipe work and find the boiler switch which was hidden behind a panel 😬 bloody cowboy builders.
I'm still battling 11yo's nits. I swear they are super nits. 💪
16yo is on lockdown apart from college and work. Yesterday was pouring here and he thought it was ok for his friends to start skinning up a joint in his bedroom 😮 Upstairs stank of weed! I hoofed them all out and took his girlfriend home. Having said that, MrM wanted chocolate at 10pm, think he had the munchies 😂
I'll update on quotes when I get them.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again0 -

I think independent local guy is winning so far!I am out of love with premium bonds…I have £1500 and I haven’t won the jackpot once…or anything else ☹️ I was so outraged I didn’t buy any this month, but I’m sure I’ll get over it…Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

He is, I liked him too. But I liked our builder at first and look where that got me 🤦♀️
What I like about the PB's is that its money tucked away. Not in an account or a pot I can see. If I win anything then it's a bonus.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again0 -
We have engaged the local guy to come and install the boiler and replace the radiator in 16yo's bedroom. Work starts on Monday. Unfortunately we have to borrow a bit from the bank of Mum & Dad as the emergency fund isn't quite enough.
I've had a reshuffle of the budget. Everything is so much more expensive now and only going to go up. Hoping the new boiler may negate some of the more expensive gas & electricity costs as it will be more energy efficient. Our fixed tariff ends in January.
11yo's birthday is at the end of the month but actually bought and gave her her birthday present today as it's a computer game. I had the money saved up. She'll have a couple of small bits to open on her birthday. Probably stationery 😂
It's a tight month my friends.
