“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Trump will be a colossal disaster, same as Brexit. I predict he will probably end up getting impeached during his presidency.

The over simplistic populist non sense has never got a nation any where. It sounds like plain logic to the bewildered masses but it almost always backfires.

    Time will tell!

A Londoner not keen on Brexit. What a surprise.

Meanwhile, back in the real world...

A regular security meeting, but without the important people for security? That'll certainly be interesting.

Same people that took the UK to war in Afghanistan and Iraqi.

This seems to be providing an insight into how things are going in the Whitehouse : http://bgr.com/2017/01/30/donald-trump-vs-white-house-rogues/

If legitimate (no reason to believe otherwise), then it's pretty scary stuff. Can this man move anything towards prosperity?

is glasnost neecessarially a bad thing?

certainly Nicola hates it in scotland but is that a good model in a democracy?
some even wanted Theresa to be more open about the UK negotiating parameters

What do the tweets have to with prosperity?

They show someone who seems to have no control or cohesion, and is willing to do things he doesn't even like just out of spite. Then there's the general disregard for, well, everything. Like going behind the backs of the courts to do stuff he's been told he can't do.

How do you get from something that chaotic, to prosperity?

Yes, most definitely as you will see.

Look, I wouldn't want him as a mate, he's incredibly vain and boorish, but he'll be good for business.

There's much more to this Muslim vetting than most realise. Read the back story on people like Milo - possibly the most important Man in right wing thinking - he has a rare ability to win over liberal-lefties, whereas many right wing thinkers do not

I'm struggling to believe that is for real. Main reason being, what is says about emails makes no sense considering that's what he wanted to jail Hillary for. A bit like the fake Merkel account, it strikes me as a spoof.

Though even fake Merkel I don't believe suggested allowing 1,000,000 refugees in. Sometimes fact is even stranger than fiction.

This is just the opening salvo. Still only 8 days in. As Trump keeps his promises made during the election campaign. Unlike the politicians we have at least he's a man of his word.

Obama had trouble with the courts. Some regard them as being powerful and influential in political matters. The battle lines are simply being drawn.

Shows the void in the UK. When the USA dominates the political news.
