My bank balance is in a very healthy state :T

You actually sound like very arrogant, so single no surprise there
The opposite of what you know...is also true

And you don't have to fight for the hot water bottle either !

Seriously, if your bank balance is in a healthy state that's good and you should be taking the opportunity, whilst you remain in an unattached state, to build up your emergency savings and put your surplus cash to productive use.
  • Interesting :)

Maybe you've just been dating the wrong type of girlfriend.
Check out their profiles more carefully next time and try to pick one with cheaper tastes!

It's not always the one ones with expensive tastes though, sometimes it's the ones who are happy to go to fairly run of the mill places.

It was me who started the other thread about paying for dating.

When I was younger and went on a date, the girl would usually offer to pay their half even if the offer was more them being polite than really wanting to pay.

My experience of dating again 15 years on is that many women (not all) will just sit there when the bill arrives and make no attempt to offer to pay their share.

The thing I found interesting in my thread was that women were saying things like, in the early stages of dating I expect a man to pay and show me he's going to be generous towards me. (Surely it's how he treats you and makes you feel and not what he spends on you?)

Have these girls/women ever stopped and thought that the guy at the same time is looking for a woman who's not going to take him for a ride but be fair in a relationship!

I can't wait for the opportunity now to get a few dates into dating someone and ask them when the bill comes how they want to pay their share, I'm determined to do it, I probably won't get a 3rd or 4th date for years now though.

If someone pays for a meal for me, I'd pay the next time. Not everyone expects the man to pay for everything all the time.
  • On the first date with my wife, she offered to split the bill. You know you've got a keeper then.

12 years on, she still ribs me for not paying all of it though!
