  • If you're so happy clappy about not having a girlfriend, why are you asking where people met their other halves on another post you started? Unless you're just on this forum to antagonise.

Living together as a couple and sharing household expenses will always be cheaper than living alone. As for having a partner that forces you to cook something other than pot noodles - surely the benefits of this go far beyond the actual cost of the food?

Cant understand women who think this way. To me a good relationship has a foundation of being each others equal from the off.

Me neither. I'm totally in support of equality for women, so that applies to paying their share too :)

In fairness, my wife is very financially independent and better with money than i am so its not an issue.

I am not saying this applies to you, but several men I know who think 'women fought for equality, so they can pay their own way,' still seem to think that women should be doing the household chores and most of the childcare.

I used to know one man who said 'women fought for equality, and to be equal to men, so they should take a punch like one.' He seriously said this!

Bit stupid as well as plain nasty, as men are much stronger physically.

Chance would be a fine thing!

I do all the washing and drying for the household, do my own ironing, tidying and we alternate when making food. We've a robot cleaner that hoovers the living area every night (two hairy retrievers in every evening) and a cleaner comes in every week to clean the house.

Yes, when it comes to things that require a bit more strength or weight then men are (usually) better equipped.

Maybe the fact the OP doesn't have a girlfriend has contributed to the feelings he's detailed on one of his other threads about being 'too attached to work & money' to be able to enjoy life.
