Managed to get the bathrooms cleaned the other day (with DS's "help" He had his own cloth :rotfl:) & a couple of washings on.
Yesterday was spent out in the garden as the sun was out & it was a lovely day. Got two washings out & dried on the line. Re-potted one blueberry plant, the other looks dead, it has never done well since we got it so will need to get another at some point. Re-potted 2 tomato plants, removed lower branches/sideshoots & got them secured to bigger bamboo canes for support. Then re-potted my small jalapeño seedling.
Have bought pots & plants for my mum's birthday so potted up a hebe, a hydrangea & a trailing fuchsia for her. Waiting on some upright fuschia plug plants & another shrub so will get them potted when they arrive & want to get some dianthus too.
DH bought a plastic shed to move his DIY stuff into from the garage as we're (hopefully) going to get it converted. He built most of it yesterday, just has to attach the doors & window now. We already have a big plastic storage box of the same make & it's very sturdy so felt confident of buying the same brand. Need to check if he's bought a weatherproof padlock for it yet actually.
Had another rubbish sleep so really not looking forward to work today & tomorrow.Got chiropractor on Wednesday which is good as my back is pretty sore.

Work was ok, tired as usual but plodding on.
DH was pleased with his posh coffee & whiskey for Father's Day yesterday.
Today I've managed to hoover the living room, wash some dishes, put a washing on & hang it up and keep DS alive. That's about it. Pondering making leek & potato soup for dinner with some cheese puffs to go with it & maybe a crumble for dessert.
Really need to start meal planning properly again, it does help to cut food spending & lazy takeaways because we're too tired to make a decision on what to make for dinner.
Cashed out £20 from a survey site, £5 from another & am very close to my £50 on youg0v too. :T Exchanged some SB for a £5 amazon voucher too. Swago actually worth it this time as spin & win back.
Ordered a cot bed sized duvet, pillow & duvet cover set for DS which arrived today, so the bedding is in the wash now.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Aw your DS sounds like a real character
I bet you'll be glad when the specialist scan is over, natural to feel apprehensive but good that you're being looked after.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hi SA, thanks for dropping in. Yes DS is definitely developing his own wee personality, he is so funny at times.
Caught him playing with his wee toy people today & making them kiss, going mmwah! :rotfl:
Yes will be glad once the scan is over, fingers crossed all is ok.
Took DS out to Mr L today as needed nappies, he was actually really well behaved & enjoyed just being out in the car.
Got the chiropractor tomorrow which is good as my back is pretty sore.

Been working & knackered so no updates for a while.
Scan went fairly well, another Dr saying that if they had done this measurement for the first time they would say it's normal. They did say there is a very small chance of chromosome abnormalities but they think it's unlikely. Was offered an amniocentesis if we wanted to check for that but both DH & I felt it wasn't necessary. Going back to the same Dr for another scan in another few weeks.
Must admit I was feeling quite stressed after the scan & started crying when they brought up chromosome abnormalities & amniocentesis etc.All of the scan info they have bar the first measurement that they thought was too big has been normal & they can't see anything else wrong with the baby, so I'm hopeful that everything is fine.
Had a bit of a rant at DH this morning over the state of the utility room. It gets used as a dumping ground by him & it really annoys me as it's tiny. I did a quick tidy & he has moved the stuff that was sitting there.
I also tidied my cutlery drawer & small cupboards which had things falling out when I opened them. They are very narrow & it's awkward to get everything in tidily but they're much better now. Also threw out some food colouring that dated from 2006  & 2012. :rotfl: Topped up the small salt & pepper mills and then the big pepper mill, a fiddly & annoying job but at least it's done now.
Finally cashed out £50 from youg0v. :j:j:beer: And another £5 from SB.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Glad it was better news with the scan, hopefully all the worry is for nothing, it does sound as if it will be - I bet you'll be so relieved when baby is born.
Well done on the payouts.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Thanks SA & Beanie, yes hopefully they are just being over cautious but it does give you a wee doubt & niggle that probably won't go away until the baby arrives & we can confirm everything is ok.
DS is really enjoying going to bed in his cot with his new pillow & duvet. He actually can't wait to get tucked in most nights now, it's great. :rotfl: I think he will love having a proper bed once we can get his new room organised. Won't be doing this for ages yet though as nowhere to put things.
MIL has told DH she wants to visit for a few days in July or August. I am rolling my eyes so hard at the very thought that they might fall out. I really have no patience with her anymore & have been so ratty with this pregnancy that I'll probably tell her to p*ss off or something.
DH keeps telling me I wasn't *this* grumpy when I was pregnant with DS. Well I didn't have a two year old then did I? I am actually properly angry a lot of the time though & don't know why. It's exhausting.I want to run away.
DH was also having a right grump yesterday because he was "doing a million things at once" otherwise known as making dinner & earlier had been doing washings, putting them on, hanging them out & putting them away. In other words, he had to do the things I usually do over Friday & Saturday whilst looking after DS when I was working.
He went on to say all he was asking was that I do one thing, after all I was just "sitting there". Because apparently I'm not allowed to be tired or sit down now. It's terrible that I actually take advantage of him being off work to get a bit of rest isn't it. I wanted to strangle him.
I wish he could experience this pregnancy on top of all the bl**dy things I do in the house whilst looking after DS & see how well he coped then. He was quite impatient with me last pregnancy as well because he didn't understand how tiring it is, especially towards the end of the day. Probably MIL & her helpful tales of how she just had to get on with it & she didn't have any help because FIL was working. She thinks I'm a lazy b*tch in other words.

Hi Sashybo, delurking to say you last post could've been me this time last year when pregnant with DS2 and a 2 year old in tow (funnily enough I guessed you were pregnant again before you said about it as you sounded the same as me when I was in the early stages of pregnancy
). Added to this was the heatwave and some work we getting done in the house at the time so my rage knew no bounds and my husband got it with both barrels most days
:o (I love him really)
I think you have demonstrated incredible patience with your in-laws, my MIL drives me mad but lives nearby so at least I can control visits and don't have to consider her staying in my house - that must be really difficult for you, the longest mine gets to stay in my house is around 10 hours on Xmas Day when I'm full of gin & can tolerate her jibes more :rotfl::rotfl:
No real advice to offer, just wanted to offer a bit of support and understanding. You're doing great, love your diary! :T:T0
