Hi beanielou :hello: Thanks for popping by, I think we frequent quite a few of the same DFW diaries. :D

    Thanks for the congrats. :)

Had a day of appointments whilst DH is also off work so DS could stay with him.

I had a midwife appointment this morning & then my whooping cough vaccine this afternoon. Next baby related appointment will be in approx 4 weeks for the 20 week scan. :T

Feeling a lot more tired this time but think that's probably because I have my DS to try and keep up with and can't just nap when I feel like it. :o

In garden news, my cucumber seeds have failed to germinate so I have ordered some more to try again. My sungold tomato seedlings are huge now & really need to go into a grow bag in the greenhouse but the weather is still so uncertain. Checked online & last predicted frost for my area is the second week in May.

I have 2 courgette seedlings & they're looking pretty good, am trying some chilli feed on the small chilli & sweet pepper seedlings I have that don't appear to be doing much, I think it's just been too cold for them, even in the bathroom which they usually love.

Arran pilot potatoes seem to growing well, still covering up but the compost is nearly at the top of both bags. :T Have started chitting the rooster potatoes now too. I need to order some nematodes for the gardens to kill off the slugs too.

I've ordered some edible seeds for bread making as DS loves seeded bread. I have a nifty wee bit in the bread maker for adding seeds at the right point. Have ordered linseed, poppy & sunflower seeds to start with. Fingers crossed it works out ok.

I have been spendy today as bought 2 vases this one & this one) as I had been looking at them full price & couldn't quite resist them at 50% off. :o I have duly slapped my own hand & won't need to buy any vases for a long time. One might go to my mum as a gift but it depends how selfish I'm feeling. :o

I also ordered some boots that I've been umming & aahing over for ages. In my defence I got 10% off & I can pay for them using survey money. My theory is that they will last longer as they're good quality. I live in Chelsea boots for a good part of the year (lovely unreliable Scottish weather) & the cheaper boots I buy barely last a year before getting holes etc. Fingers crossed the theory pans out. :)

Mine where born March 09, Feb 11 and March 14. So nearly a 2 year gap between 1 and 2 and then just over 3 years between 2 and 3. The smaller gap was easier. Although youngest is poorly and eldest had just started school so maybe that clouds my judgement. It's a brilliant age gap though. They will be best friends :A

Hi minimuffin thanks. :) Yeah I remember feeling tired with DS but feels much worse this time! :o I was working 7 days in a row on a shift pattern then & only work 2 days a week now. :o

The outlaws descend tomorrow evening unfortunately. :( Although luckily I'm working late shifts both tomorrow & Thursday so only have to have limited interaction with them those days. I might miss them altogether tomorrow as I don't finish work until 11:30 at night. Only have to spend one full day with them driving me nuts, DH has to deal with them the rest of the time. :rotfl:

Hi W, glad to hear you found the smaller age gap easier. I think DS will love having a wee brother or sister as he loves being around other kids (fingers crossed!).

Feeling very tired today & my pelvis is killing me again, only got re-adjusted last Wednesday but it will keep happening until I have this baby. The chiropractor said it's my SI joint & my pelvis is getting knocked out of position (same as last time) so I'll have a look at some exercises to try & help with the pain.

Back to see the chiropractor in 7 weeks or so, although will go sooner if my back/pelvis gets worse. I think I'll probably need a lot of work after having the baby too to get my pelvis back to the right position. I was visiting weekly for about 6 weeks after having DS - cost me a lot of money  but worth it to get rid of the pain.

We took DS down to CBeebies land at Alton Towers yesterday, had driven down on the Sunday & stayed overnight. DS was actually brilliant in the car, only had to stop once on the 4 hour journey down & he really enjoyed staying in the hotel. :)

As for Alton Towers he wasn't really bothered. :rotfl: He was still a bit wee for most of the CBeebies rides & wasn't interested in the people dressed up as characters at all. :rotfl: Still shocked at the prices to get in! Then £6 parking fee on top. We were semi-sensible & brought our own lunch/snacks etc though.

I was exhausted with all the walking (so unfit!) as DH insisted on trailing all over the place to look at the big scary rides he couldn't go on due to long queues.:rotfl: He did get to go on one though as there was basically no queue so that cheered him up a bit.

We got home just before 7pm last night & discovered DS's nappy had leaked catastrophically in the car. He was soaking & had poo all down his legs. _pale_ Poor wee soul hadn't even cried or complained and had been really happy in the car! We didn't even smell anything either. So that was lovely to clean up as he kept running away & there was poo everywhere in our living room.

The outlaws have now left the building. :j

That was stressful, just glad I was working most of the visit. :o It's been 16 years now & I still don't feel comfortable with them at all. DH was getting quite irritated with them as well, constant silly questions & criticism from them. :(

At least DS enjoyed their visit. :o They took over my garden & were trying to repot my plants & seedlings too. I wouldn't have minded if they'd at least asked!

The neighbour's teenagers decided to have a (very noisy) party last night. Loud music & lots of people shouting thinking they were talking. They kept letting their stupid yappy dog out & it was barking & setting off the other dogs around us too. They were going in & out both back & front so didn't matter where in the house we were.

Thankfully someone phoned the police (we were seriously considering it by this point) & they got rid of them but that was around 2am. :( Somehow DS only woke up once, it was really loud in his room as he faces the back garden & they must have had the patio door open.

Hopefully that doesn't happen on a regular basis because it was awful & it was only chance neither of us were working early shift today. DH sometimes has to get up for work at 3 or 4am.

We had noisy disruptive neighbours a few times in our last flat & it was really hard to deal with so praying it doesn't become a regular thing here. Most people immediately around us have young kids & also work shifts so they won't be happy about it either. DH was getting really stressed out with it. :( He was already highly strung because of his parents so didn't need this on top.

DH is back to work on late shifts :( DS will miss him as he has loved spending lots of time with him during his annual leave. He says "Dada/Daddy" a lot more than mum. :rotfl: Thanks, pal. :rotfl:

DS's funniest new word is "stuck" - he keeps telling us he's stuck whenever we put him in the highchair or anywhere he can't escape from. :rotfl: He was also putting his baby doll behind a cushion on the couch & telling me "baby stuck". :D It's amazing how quickly they start picking words up. :)

We took DS to the barber's yesterday for his first proper haircut. He hated it & kept trying to get away, wanted the gown off then was getting annoyed at the hair going on his arms.:rotfl: The lady was very good & managed to get him done but it has gone slightly bowl cut as he was struggling so much. :rotfl:

We got our main crop potatoes in the growing bags this morning & I have sown another couple of cucumber seeds as my last ones didn't do anything. :( Also re-potted some tomato plants that are going to my mum & my friend.

We finally tidied the front garden last week by tying up & pruning the climbing rose. Also got my sweet peas planted out against the lattice so they have something to climb & cut back the hebes a bit. Did some weeding & then treated the rose for more bl**dy greenfly! Can't seem to get rid of them this year. It's looking a lot better now though. :)

Have had a tough couple of days due to DS picking up a sickness bug from somewhere. He woke us up crying on Thursday night & when DH went in to check him all I heard was him shouting to me "Come here, come here I need you!" which didn't sound good.

Poor DS had puked up all over himself & the cot. :( DH got to clean up the sick covered toddler & I dealt with the cot. Then DS just wanted me to sit & hold him, he did sleep for an hour or so after lots of indignant screaming at being put back in his cot but was sick again (thankfully not as much as the first time so minimal clean up).

Of course I was meant to be working early shift but got about 2 hours sleep so had to phone in to say I wouldn't be in. Have spent the last 2 days with an ill toddler clinging to me literally constantly. :( In some ways I would rather have went to work. :o

Feeling tired & a bit fed up. DS slept much better last night & his temp has been ok most of today. No more sickness but still not eating normally & very grumpy and clingy.

Minimal housework has happened as DS screams if I leave the room without him/don't carry him at all times.
