We all went for a dental check up on Wednesday, dentist said my teeth were lovely & clean so nothing needed done and didn't have to pay either. :j DH had a scale & polish and DS had his teeth checked too. DS was being a monkey pushing the dentist's hands away & shaking his head to make it difficult for her to check in his mouth.
She got there in the end & all looking good.
We had lunch in the big Swedish shop & DS ate well although we had a few screaming fits before & after as he hates shops.:rotfl: He was lying on the floor screaming at one point so I just stepped over him & left him to it but he got up & tried to run down behind the fridges in the cafeteria. Caught him just in time. We bought a houseplant & some narcissus bulbs which I need to plant out in a big pot.
Thankfully we've not had any snow so far but it was -7 the other morning when I was going to work on my overtime shift.
Went to Mr Al's yesterday after work as had to go home & collect DH & DS to drop DH off to collect his car from the garage. DH needed his cam belt replaced plus service & MOT so a big bill. Fortunately the mechanic had told DH at his last service that the cam belt would need doing so we had enough time to save up the majority of the money.
It's DH's birthday today so we have had a lazy morning. We're going to our friend's 60th birthday party tonight & DS is staying with my mum again.
My sweet peas have started showing green shoots so they are happy on the bathroom windowsill. :T Will plant my tomato seeds in the next week or so too.
Whilst DS was in the bath the other night I tidied & organised 2 baskets we have on the (wide) windowsill in the bathroom & it looks much better. I found some fake tan which I think is quite old & I should probably throw it out but don't want to as it was expensive. It's silly really as it's my own fault - that money was wasted when I didn't use much of the bottle. I read somewhere that old fake tan can turn you green!:rotfl: I will throw it out soon. :rotfl:

Glad all is looking good with you Sashy, I hope you have a lovely day today/tonight

Hi W, thanks.
The party was good but a bit odd as ended up at the same table as several managers from work. It was a bit awkward.
The drinks were quite expensive too considering we were in a bowling club, don't know why they were so pricey.
We were home for about quarter past midnight & sat watching a couple of episodes Benidorm on Netflix. We're so exciting. :rotfl: DS had a good night at my mum's too.
My sweet peas are shooting up! Think I'll need to move them into pots already, might do that today as it's lovely and sunny outside although still chilly. DS can run about the garden whilst I do that plus plant the narcissi bulbs I bought last week. I could also sow my tomato seeds & prep the heated propagator for DH's chillies. Will start chitting the seed potatoes in the next week too. Looking forward to getting back into the garden properly. Need to get DH to look at pruning the raspberry canes back as think we should have done that ages ago.
Still have a giant pile of ironing to do, kitchen floor to brush & clean and bathrooms to clean too. Will probably neglect it all to go out into the garden.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Needless to say I neglected my housework to go out into the garden the other day. I got my sweet peas into pots & have them in the bathroom. Have sown the tomato seeds, chilli seeds & a couple of sweet peppers now so will wait and see if they germinate. Also manage to pot the narcissus bulbs up. :T
DS hasn't been very well, has had a bit of a cold & a temperature and even refused to eat the other day.:( He only managed two bits of carrot & then promptly threw up all over me. He wasn't sick again but was most indignant when he didn't get his bedtime milk in case it upset his tummy again.
He's a lot better now, temp has come down today but of course he was screaming yesterday when I had to leave him to go to work.I felt so bad, he always seems to get ill when I need to go to work. I swapped a shift so working Saturday instead of today. Work was fine thankfully, not too stressful.
Finally did my huge pile of ironing the other night, most of which was DH's shirts! Also brushed the kitchen floor but didn't clean it.

You've reminded me that I need to sort my seeds out, thanks. I sort them into month planting order too.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++
GNU Mr Redo0 -
Hi redo, thanks for popping by, much easier to sort the seeds out by month & gives me more of a visual of how much needs done!
Have had quite a few sungold tomato seedlings pop up, need to pot them soon, will try to do it tomorrow. Need to start chitting the seed potatoes too.
Have been MIA due to feeling absolutely rubbish, don't know what I've caught but feeling exhausted & sicky. Two early shifts at work this week were very bad as I just felt ill for most of them then had to go home & deal with DS on my own as DH working lates.DS still not completely himself so this bug seems to be lingering, although it could be a different bug altogether by now.
My younger nephew (12) stayed overnight last week & was a good help with DS, it's very sweet as they love each other to bits.DH & I played a board game with him after dinner (& DS put to bed) and think he enjoyed himself. He even got the bus up to our house & back again into town to meet his friends the next afternoon. :T Scary how quickly they grow up though.
I went to the chiropractor on Wednesday & did the quickest Mr Al shop ever before my appointment - 20 mins! I was well impressed with myself. :rotfl: Obviously DS was at home with his dad, not with me at the time.
Today has been another fairly lazy day - DH was late shift last night, home at 1am & working early tomorrow (up at 3am :() and I'm still feeling exhausted. We got up late & had pancakes for brunch then DS & I fell asleep on the couch whilst DH played computer games. I made goulash in the slow cooker for dinner (chucked the stuff in when I got up) & added dumplings to it later. Made chocolate cake for pudding so the boys were happy.
Want to get out into the garden tomorrow as DS & I both need the fresh air & I can prep some pots for my tomato seedlings. Hopefully it warms up soon so I can put my sweet pea seedlings out into the greenhouse but we keep getting the odd frosty snap overnight so don't think I can risk it yet.
Have barely done any surveys etc as just haven't felt like even picking the tablet up.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
No surveys done jaysus things must be bad. I hope all is okay. Btw are you using receipt hog??And Qmee?0
-
Hi Scott, :rotfl: yes I know I'm really not feeling well when the surveys get neglected.
Hopefully I'll get over it soon.
Yes using Qmee thanks, good recommendation. I was using receipt hog but found it took too long to get enough points to redeem, I'm using shoppix which seems better. Have you tried it? I'm also trying instagc which seems ok so far, the plus point is you get your gift card code straight away & can cash in from £1 for am@zon vouchers.
Used £30 of survey vouchers to buy some new towels last week as some of ours were getting a bit past it. Had to put £14 "real" money towards them too but much better than paying the full amount.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Is it wrong too say i am using both lol
i have just started using shoppix, the only annoying thing i found re shoppix is you cant upload two different receipts from the same store in the same day. I went shopping this morning i paid cash for some shopping before the gym, then as i had forgot some bits i went back too home bargains after the gym and got the other bits on my card. The net result was shoppix rejected receipt 2 where receipt hog didnt.
Hmmmmm note too self dont be forgetful do a shopping list.0 -
re instagc is there a friend referral code etc etc
Pm me it if you its avaliable and i will join.0
